He fresher, hungier, has to win, got more to lose, may have a new conditioning coach and be fitter and faster than ever, Pacman has really declined since coming off the juice, he'll probably be more intellegent boxer now!
Come on Ricky!

Never a truer word spoken on these forums.
Shame the rest of your post was so dreadful.

I'm not sure a 3 year diet of pies, Guinness and charlie is going to make him any of those things, but you keep the faith

I admire your enthusiasm, but don't share it unfortunately.
Ricky will be slower and less hungry than ever I'm afraid. If he's matched ok he'll put on a couple of good shows.
Call me cynical but I wonder if there's a 'real' reason behind the comeback. Is Hatton Promotions running out of cash? Maybe it's to boost the old coffers, and get the company a bit of limelight at the same time?

Yes, i think its fair to say that money is the reason (it always is)
Hard to see Hatton being able to get back to the kind of shape he was in, in his prime and without that...

But Barry McGuigan says he can win a world title again and Barry McGuigan only ever says what he believes with all his heart

Perhaps the pictures of him slim are a smokescreen and he's coming back to fight his old mate Freddie Flintoff.

I think Ricky was looking like a shit fighter post mayweather. It's a disaster that he's coming back.

anyone else think the comeback is with a view to a multimillion 'superfight' with khan a little way down the line? can't think of another fight for either of them that would make as much money.

The geezer is going to be slower and more unfit then he ever was and with the wrong kind of hunger but good luck to him.

Let's all just hope and pray that Ricky ends his career how he wanted to this time, I'd hate to see him lay out on his back again.
100% Behind it myself, takes a lot of courage to comeback after all he has done in his time away from the ring.

Can't see him having a decent opponent for this one. Be like the Lazcano fight a guy who is no threat to him to milk it as an event purely for the cash. I just don't see any other reason it's pretty obvious he isn't going to get back to the level he was at either. Soon as he steps up in class it could end quite nasty. Come on do you reckon he has any chance against the top guys at 140 and 147 ( which is the weight I assume he is fighting against .) ????

He was definitely s**t against Pacquiao.
