Anthony Farnell went into this match with nothing to lose but everything to gain. Murphy who was 13-0 going into this fight was totally outclassed by a stronger more prolific fighter. Farnell Knocked Murphy down in everyone of the 3 rounds this fight lasted with big powerful right hand shots. Murphy did try to come back with shots of his own but inexperience showed with murphy constantly dropping his left hand and leaving his chin hanging out for farnell to pick him off. Murphy did cause a cut above farnells left eye. In the 3rd round murphy turned his back on farnell after getting knocked down again causing the referee to stop the fight. After the fight during an interview Farnell stated he will not give elcock a chance at the WBU Title because when Elcock Beat Farnell, Elcock refused a rematch with Farnell.

Yeah probably because he would get beat again! Although saying that i think a rematch would be interesting, i think Farnell was a bit bemused and caught by surprise about how well Elcock boxed that night forcing the fight early and then stepping onto the backfoot to box out the end and with a knockdown thrown in for good measure. I think Farnell would approach it a lot differently this time and given Elcock's newly found chin questionability it would be a different fight. If this match does not happen and presuming hopefully by some freak occurence Murphy doesn't get a rematch who should Farnell fight next? A unification maybe?! Or back to beating solid but limited Russians for his beloved WBU strap?

This is how it will go farnell will either fight lockett or elcock. predictions: elcock will ko farnell before 5 rounds, if farnell fights lockett, lockett will ko farnell 1st 5 also, or lockett will get stopped on a cut, fair play for farnell winning but where does the winner off all the domestic fights go now felix sturm is fighting de la hoya, there isnt going to be a wbo, wba, ibf, wbc champ for years, if eastman wins ( which he could ) the domestics aint in the same league, elcock, lockett and farnell would beat bendall, dann ect so were do they all go, personally i think the WBU is a pile of shit title, and jinxed every one looses on the 1st defence.

I'd pick Scott to beat Farnell and he'd be dangerous for the whole fight against Elcock, who has to come back and show us that his punch resistance is up to much after the Murphy fight. I hold my hands up to accusations of regional bias, though.

Scott is a good fighter, is he super middle or middle, he seemed to be well onto top of eastman then when he got hit a few times fell to pieces. the guy elcock fought musiiwa is a good fighter, and very strong, elcock took that fight at a weeks notice, the other guy was well up for it. the domestic level at super and middle is quite good but there is massive divide between world class, one bad night and your back down the picking order, when elcock fought farnell he gave hime a 12 roung boxing lesson in his 12th fight, won in his back yard had to go to murphy's back yard got caught cold, everyone says he's chinny, lockett got battered against tsyenco or whatever his name is, beat by monahan, he then ko'd collins, beat qato and now he's givin it the big i am, its all mad. :P

I wouldn't exactly say that Lockett is giving it the big i am, after the Qato fight he said he wasn't the technically best fighter at Middleweight but he had power and was determined to fight the best at British level, practically begging allegedly for a shot. When the interviewer mentioned Bernard Hopkins he laughed, wouldn't say he is big headed or anything.

Agreed, I though Lockett seemed a nice down to earth bloke

I did'nt mean in that way but lockett was offered elcock twice and farnell after elcock beat him and turned them down flat, i agree lockett ( from what i have been told is a really down to earth bloke) should fight them but why now because he ko'd qato, in his last 3 fights he was lucky to win a couple off them, he could still go along way on the domestic or european circuit, but he marks up badly and anyone who can jab and move will give him a hard night.
