My choice would be Vyacheslav Senchenko...ex world champion, ranked but got done of Malignaggi. (This is of course working off the fact Hatton said he wanted a world class opponent)

What about you, who would you pick?

Maybe I'm wrong and he'll come back as a lean mean fighting machine but I don't think it should be anyone too dangerous.

Colin Lynes, then if he got past Colin; Junior Witter then a proper top 10/15 boxer and then(!?) a shot. 3 years rust and 'good' living will take some shaking.

It won't be anybody stellar as the place will be sold out anyway.

This fight - Joel Casamayor
Then Breidis Prescott.
Then Khan.

A durable, non-punching lightweight/superfeatherweight. Ala the match making method used for most of his career before he fought Tszyu.

It won't happen but Hatton vs Rios would have "bloodbath" written all over it.

Edit: I've just read that it could be Omar Henry...must admit I know nothing about him...anyone?

Karass or Gomez would probably take him a few rounds and offer a bit of resistance. Perfect for a comeback fight imo

2 warm up fights one british level opposition then one european level see were he is at after them two then,if he is ready, move him on to world level. what we got to remember is he maybe fit at the minute but he wont be fighting fit so he needs to be built up again, floyd can take 3 years out and come straight back to fighting world class because he is a gym rat were as ricky has gone through a lot of problems in the time he has been away. probably make lenny daws and mcCloskey as his first two opponents then have him fight a world top 20 opponent then have him work his way through the rankings to a world title,if he still has the hunger.

First fight back and you want to stick him in with someone like Soto Karass? Glad you're not my matchmaker!

Junior 'The Hitter' Witter

Lee Purdy - I know Hatton vs Tinky Winky would sell out the MEN, but having it against a decent Brit, not given much of a chance but a trier like Purdy could do okay if it is on Sky Box Office.

Morales, Barerra, Witter, Katsidis, N'Dou or De La Hoya

Morales at 147 is an excellent shout, maybe for a second fight back - it might be the biggest non title fight for Ricky out there.

1) Ricky is mates with Barrera, Barrera and Morales not exactly on great terms (or at least were not).

2) Morales is a huge name - both side of the pond (even though he aint fought here).

3) Morales' comeback has shown just how good he was. To win a paper version of a world title and be very competitive against Maidana and Garcia as shot as he is shows how good he was.

4) If Ricky is more shot than Morales and loses then he needs to call time on it.

I think Morales would be very tough. At his age he may not deal with pressure too well anymore. I watched him against Maidana and I think Maidana was a bit overawed by the occasion. Can't see Hatton giving him the time and space to set his shots in the same way. Could be exiting while it lasts.
