Well done Billy (and Ricky of course) didn't see that coming, was supprised by the size difference of the two on the night, but no excuses from my part, great shot from burns. Best man won !

I'm a big burns fan and predicted a win for ricky

but even i must offer billy my apologies (and congratulations of course)

As i was convinced that ricky would never have the power to stop mitchell

i've said for a while, if ricky could add the ability to stop guys to his already impressive arsenal he'd be genuine world class.

That was an impressive stoppage that i never thought he had in him.
Its hard to see much standing in ricky's way in the lightweights now

Well done billy and ricky, when I went up to spar ricky for the week leading up to the katsidis fight when I came home I put on boxrec that ricky could really hit hard so it didn't surprise me that he stopped mitchell, ricky is a monster at lightweigh, billy has done a great job and there work ethic really impressed me, they both deserve all the plaudits because they have grafted for it, well chuffed for them both, also mitchell took defeat like a man so respect to him for that, he can still make waves at lightweight but just not against ricky

Excellent stuff from Burns and Billy… …., Both are very underrated. As for Kevin he should consider moving up his muscle mass could do with being better IMO.

I fancied Burns wide on points, or late stoppage and I claimed Mitchell would really struggle. Burns has a style that I very hard to figure out and the jab is something he could dominate fights with.

Both are a credit to the sport was really impressed by them at the end.

congratulations to both burns and nelson i was honestly gutted as a mitchell fan last night and just didnt see that coming, what a great shot and didnt let him off the hook, burns has improved beyond belief and wish him the best for the future, i was also suprised how much bigger and stronger burns was last night. i still dont approve of some of the posts billy wrote and i no he also had to put up with some shit myself included but my posts were because i honestly thought mitchell would win and in retalliation to bills anti-english attitude.

I couldnt believe how much agro billy was getting from mitchell fans on here saying not only it was going to be a competative fight but mitchell was a class above burns. Idiots! I didnt have any money in my sky bet account but told one of the lads i was playing poker with who did to put a cheeky tenner on burns to stop mitchell at 11/2. He was happy i was kicking myself.

I put £20 on Burns to win between 9-12 at 22-1. Why didn't he just hold him up for a while?

Even as a Burns fan I didn't think Burns was capable of stopping Mitchell so early, I thought his fitness would maybe show later in the fight which is why i picked those rounds but once again Burns surprises everyone by blowing Mitchell away.

Great job! alot of ppl, well trainers slate this guy. His record spks for its self.

Mitchell got caught by a good shot and didn't know what to do after, Billy gave good banter on here and sometimes got as good as he gave !

I missed the fight but got a running commentary and once again burns does his thing ;) keep up the good work Ricky :)

It was more than just one good shot. He caught him with the right at will and Mitchell was clearly concerned about it which led to being open for the left hook. Burns was fantastic and showed that Mitchell will always be found out at that class. He should regroup for British and Euro honours
