thought occured to me actually. would have to be at light welter and i doubt hatton could do that now.

Burns has definitely got the frame to carry him up to Light Welter and Welter but by the time he made the transition up in weight Hatton would be retired again!!

I would be very surprised if Burns doesnt finish his career at Welterweight, he has been quoted many times in the past as saying he would like to have 100 fights. Can't see that happening if he makes the money he deserves from the game but he certainly aint gonna make 50 at lightweight never mind 100.

Personally I cant see him getting anywhere near that even if he was to become a journeyman later in life (unlikely) but I can see him moving up another twice, possibly over the next 2 -3 years if good offers are made.

All depends what Hatton is like when he comes back.

If he is only 70% of his former self, he still wins this for me. Big fan of Burns but Hatton will be to strong and relentless for Burns and I dont see Burns being able to get Ricky out of there. All a fantasy though, Hatton heavier and will need to show he is good enough in comeback fight

dont see it like that. burns is as fit as hatton ever was,and is a clean living fighter.it seems that nobody wants to recognise that burns is as much of a world champ as hatton or khan were. in my opinion hes gonna be better than both because he is focussed , grounded, nd seems mentally strong and honest about himself and others.
ask kev mitchell if burns has no authority in his punches. hatton is finished as a top class fighter , only those who stand to make money from his return will tell you any different.
