Yeah, I agree. Too late. My interest in this fight is very low now.

I dont know how it can be to late when in there last fights mayweather beat cotto and manny did everything right but did not get the result there both still pound for pound 1-2.

Yeah it's probably a couple of years too late but if these two get it on it'll still be the biggest fight out there. The press will jump on it and all the stars will come out to sit ringside and the buzz surrounding the fight will be massive.

The only concern is that the fight itself is a stinker because both are perceived to be on the slide...that's when everyone will start mouthing about them leaving it too long to face each other.
Still, I suspect both will desperately want the win and we might just get a classic with the possibility of setting up a lucrative rematch.
We can only hope...

I know Pacman ain't been at his best and I know Mayweather goes through the motions in recent fights, but how hard would these two fighters train to take that top spot?

It will ruin both their legacies if they don't fight each other, Mayweather has the opportunity to be ranked with the likes of Robinson, Leonard, Ali etc.... Win or lose Pacqiauo is a multi weight great fighter and 21st century bragging rights are up for grabs!

Interest has fallen for the fight as Pacman has shown signs of slight decline due to his outside interests, it would still sell as one of the biggest fights of all time and if Pacman is willing to take the fight I'm certain he could motivate himself enough to prepare for the fight better than ever before.

Mayweather takes it easy for me though.

Although I don't agree it would ruin their legacies it would certainly leave a question mark hanging over them both.

Your probably right but the shine has definitely been taken off this one for me. The perfect time would have been after Pac's fight with Margarito IMO.

I think theres bigger fights out there now. Most would have pbf as the favourite now where as before it was being billed as a 50/50 fight.

I echo the general view of the majority on here: it's a bit late now... Especially with Alvarez, Ward and Martinez making big waves recently, Mayweather V Pac Man isn't necessarily the best matchup that can be made right now.

Would certainly still watch though!
