Great to Lenny Daws getting another title shot in his fight with Ville Piispannen for the vacant EU title,
Be great to see him win that and move on to bigger and better things

Lenny is a good fighter and sems a decent man; it must be really hard to keep motivated when you're out for a long time. Fair play to him :TU:

He''s had three fights since losing to Ashley Theophane, the last of which against Dean Mills he looked back to his old self, I'd really like to see him put on a good show in winning the EU and put himself back up in the ratings

Lenny should be too much for Piispanen, i'd go with a wide points win. Always like to watch Daws, and this might lead to a full EBU title shot

Really looking forward to this, I've worked his corner for his last 3 fights with new trainer Ian Burbedge, who's doing a great job, it's a pleasure to do as Lenny & Ian are class act's inside and outside the ropes. EU & then a shot at the British or European are well deserved

I worked in Morden (where Lenny lives) for six months a few years back. For one of his fights, they had posters up everywhere around the town.

Always liked the guy. I hope Channel Five show the fight in it's entirety. :yay:

Good performance from Lenny last night against a kid that was tough as old boots. Right up in the mix for bigger titles now. Was once again a pleasure to work for him & trainer Ian Burbedge. Top notch team. :-)

It really gets on my nerves that Channel Five never show any of Lenny Daws, barring one time where you got to see about a round and a half.

I'd much rather have seen the Daws fight on Saturday than watch Eubank and Son. I wonder if I could e-mail Channel Five and register that opinion.

I don't want to diss 5's coverage of boxing. Its been pretty good on the whole since they've got Hennessy's stable. However, the often made excuses of other broadcasters who refuse to show live boxing is the expense of filming etc. Therefore, you'd think that when they have got the production team, the cameramen, the producer, the presenters etc all on hand - they would at least make good use of the time.

Why don't they show it on a different night with a highlights show.

Don't get me wrong, I like Channel Five's coverage. (Especially, as at the moment I am Sky Sports-less.) However, I just think it's the wrong decision to keep Lenny Daws off of television.

I wasn't going to wade in and e-mail them swearing. Rather; "Thank you for the decent coverage. Any chance it could have Lenny Daws on too?"

The only thing that followed the boxing on Saturday was one of those divvy all-night game shows where you ring in, spend money and get the answer wrong. Surely they could've started that a bit later, and fit in Daws?

I would have preferred to watch Anwar vs. Miles to be fair than Eubank Jr.
