Me too. The man has had to battle hard his whole life.

I think latest update was it wasn't a heart attack, but ongoing problems from a stroke he suffered in August.
He's been through a lot in his life, so hope he can keep battling on.

Tough as nails is Norton. Likewise, it's been said he didn't have a heart attack and simply has a virus. The doctor seemed to feel he was very strong and would be out shortly. I hope so. Christ that guy had some great fights and took on the best of the best. And always in peak physical condition, even at 40. What a fighter.

I think he has to go down as a massively under-rated heavyweight. He gave Ali 3 hugely close fights, got the win in one and was perhaps unlucky not to get the nod in both the others, and likewise ran a prime Larry Holmes really close. Ali and Holmes are always immediately mentioned when people list their greatest ever heavyweights so Norton definately deserves to be mentioned with those guys considering how close his fights with them were.

Great fighter and great man and u can guarantee if he hadnt been inflicted with these terrible injuries and illnesses after retirement, he would still be in the same physical shape todayas he was battling Holmes and Ali. Man had an incredible physique.

I still say he beat Holmes. Norton was in his day, a dangerous man.

I agree with everything here. Norton never fully recovered from his massive car accident in the mid-1980s, ending up with a limp and slurring a little. His autobiography, 'Going the Distance', is entertaining and recommended.

And Ken was 35 at this point! 35 playing 28, at a time when 35 was old for a heavyweight, owing to a much greater level of activity and against very dangerous men. What a fight.

boxing legend,and always comes across as a decent human being,3 very close fights with ali,smashed by foreman,would have loved to have saw him and the late great frazier going for it,but the fight that never was,hopefully he has a speedy recovery

semtexreily they did have many wars in the gym as sparring partners in the same stable!

i know mate,but still not the same,would have been a great fight,im not sure who the winner would have been

I aint sure it would have last long who ever came out on top. I personally think Frazier had the slightly better chin and might have come out on top.
