I know. Bring him back in an eight-rounder I say, but he's topping the bill on a Sky-TV show, and that means there has to be a title on the line. Madness.

big risky but A.A. believes in himself to the point of arrogance or that certainly the way he comes accross sometimes. I was pretty shocked at his capitalation (ok bit harsh) aganst Gomez I thought he woudl be too good.
I dunno I think Alex has publicly stated that if he isnt world champ within 2 years then he will quit boxing. This match looks a stiff challenge after such a bad loss but credit to Alex who is a least being consistent with his actions along with his claims and comments.

I hope the African wins, and wins well.

I agree, the people who bother to go to the shows dont really care if there is a title on the line they just want to see a good nights boxing, he should be topping the bill on fight school on a thursday night maybe for an english title , at least it's not for the WBU title or is the Gomez fight an elimanator to fight AAA

Seems a fairly tough comeback. The Ugandan had another fight scheduled for early April according to his record, so should be ready.

Only boxer he's met with a decent record is the useful Joseph Agbeko, who boxed over here. Kizza was bombed out in two rounds.

Arthur should be good enough to beat this guy.

It's fornicating ridiculous, and I hope to God that someone points this out on Sky.

It's also £5 more per ticket than the Gomez fight.

Looking at Kizza's record it throws up some interesting stats, he has had only 20 fights in ten years and made his debut at the age of 15, he's only 24 now so should be fresh enough. He is 17-3 and holds a respectable 12 KO's with it, in the past he has fought for the Bantamweight title but has only fought out of Uganda three times and in the Boxing hotbeds of Kenya and the Democratic Republic.....he now lives in Italy. If Arthur loses then he seriously needs to contemplete his future in the sport that's for certain.

I still seriously believe this could be one of Alex's last professional fights. i dont think he will ever recover mentally from the 5 round beating he recieved in October.

However, unless his confidence is completely shot, he should have enough class to see off this 'challenge'

Surprised, this guy's record aint too bad. But anyone with a poorer record i dont think would be fit enough to top the bill. I think it may of been more sensible for Arthur to appear in an 8 rounder on an undercard, but he's very confident and doesn't want to be over protected. A bit of a risk, but one he should come through, be able to try some of the stuff he has been doing in the gym against someone who will come to win

Best thing for Arthur will be if it goes 12 rounds. Good or bad, he needs 12 rounds at this particular moment. An early KO or a fight where he goes untested and gets a mid-TKO would only inflate his already OTT ego. Needs to either be tested, and get a midway point knockout, or go the full distance to benefit anything from this fight.

This is a 'gimmee' for the lanky Scot. I don't know where they find these guys from! It's almost as if the announcement of Brazil's Rogerio Lobo yesterday as Herbie Hide's opponent by Hennessy's lot encouraged Sports Network to find someone even more obscure for their man. Peter Buckley would be a better opponent for the Scot. I'm serious. At least he would take Arthur the distance and sharpen him up. But Kizza will just get starched early, the MC will announce Arthur as "The new IBF intercontinental champion", and the throngs of unknowing 'fans' in Edinburgh will file out happy.
But until the Scot fights someone like Gomez again, we're never going to know if he's really improved or not.
