Good, point. Where's the problem wit this statement?

I don't like Bunce generally but can't find fault with the statement. He was all those things.

No shame in getting stopped in the first round if you tried your best. Audley was in range, trying to make something happen and got hurt. I don't think any 40 year old men are going to be able to cope with Price's heavy hands.

He did not fight at world level, he stepped into the ring at world level, but did not fight.

He got no credit for the Haye fight but he at least got up after the KD there.

Please note of course I am not critical of him for not getting up against Price.... no one could have got up from that, however he received not one spec of praise against Haye but you could say he went out on his shield there also if trying to continue after a big shot is the definition of going out on your shield.

The only difference between Audley in this fight and against Haye was that he LOOKED like he wanted to fight this time. He didn't in either fight.

Lol the problem assclowns is, how is going out , not throwing a punch and than being put in a semi coma within 90 seconds, having spent weeks talking long and hard about it being the "second coming"....going out on "your shield"?? He conned the public again, and Bunce was the mouthpiece for the lie, as were allegedly. Coming after the haye debacle (a payperview felt to be such a ripoff and non performance by Harrison that it ended Skys policy of box office boxing events)....it was utterly shameless of Fraudley.

Also he never won at world level and he never fought at world level until the day he got beaten by Haye in a fight that was as one sided as a gang rape.

Harrison was talking of his victory over hersisia as if it was the rumble in the jungle revisited.

I always thought going out on your shield in boxing meant not quitting and then being ko'd or losing. Price didnt let him quit so technically to me the statement rings true

Harrison has been one big dissapointment. You'd think he would have run to a secluded place after his shameful show against Haye like a normal person would have done, but no - he still yaps away and now this. He might fight on but only through the delusions of his mind and ego.

I agree with Fat Git in the sentiement that Audley Harrison has been one huge disappointment in his professional career, because when you look at him all the raw ingredients where there for a potentiall great heavyweight in terms of the height (6ft 5) the 86 inch read and the southpaw stance and you do not see many Southpaw Heavyweights around plus he good whack in his punches (when he let them go) and he was a good talker. However it just never seem to click at times. I don't feel any dislike towards Harrison at all I just feel genuially frustrated that a man so well blessed with the physical assets he never used them to his full potential.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with ability, as long as you give it your best shot and fight till the end showing no quit, it qualifies as going out on your shield.

Tyson went out on his shield against Lewis. Taking your lumps and coming back for more in the slim chance you'll turn the tide is going out on your shield.

Getting knocked out in a minute and a half after throwing a grand total of 2 punches, isn't.
