Devon Alexander? Amir Kahn? Ricky Hatton?
Went to the show last night, was a bit of a stinker of a show compared to the Carson jones card. Brook did what he needed to do though.

None of the above. I still think hes overated (at this point)!
He needs to fight better people first.
This is a similar illness people have to Tyson Fury Syndrome

Well it was supposed to be an eliminator for the winner of the Devon Alexander Vs Bailey title fight, so in theory it should be Alexander. But will Devon come to the UK to defend? I doubt that very much. If it goes to purse bids I don't see Matchroom winning them either. So Brook will have to go to America and probably St Louis as that will be where the money is.
However, I wouldn't be surprised to see Matchroom push for a fight with Amir Khan. I think there will be more money in that fight for everyone, plus I think it will be easier to get a decision against Khan in this country than one in the US against Alexander in his home town.

i cant see the point in him fighting khan other than money. Khan has found his level im sad to say (at the weight below) and he's started to get away with the fairies mentally - denial and "god" syndrome. I used to defend the guy but recently im just finding him to be an ignorant jackass.
Alexander would be a good fight and a fight in the US would be a good thing for Brook. Hearn will be under pressure from sky to deliver some high profile fights.

I don't see why he wouldn't come over here. Matchroom can pay decent purses - and Alexander is hardly TV gold, is he? Or get himself over to the States then.
Either way, they need to push to have this shot enforced, IMO. Otherwise it's all been rather pointless.

A while, probably. If the usual rule applies, Alexander will be able to swerve Brook for one defence, at least. Then again, as I've said, he's hardly going to command a lot of US TV money - the crowd were booing yet again last night.

I don't know how much Matchroom can pay, but Alexander was paid $600,000 as challenger last night and got more than $1m for the Bradley and Matthyse fights ( that was HBO money rather than Showtime) so he's been on decent wedge of late, the sort of money I doubt Brook gets anywhere near being paid. Bringing Alexander over here would be a significant investment so Sky would have to put up some serious cash to tempt him over.
I think Brook will have to go to the US and take his chances. Personally I think that would be the best move as Alexander has never really impressed me that much. I remember a few years ago the Americans raving about him saying he was the best thing since Mayweather. Then I watched his fight against Corley on Eurosport and was very unimpressed. His KO of Urango was impressive, but he got gifts against Kotelnik and Matthyse.
The way that they have been talking I just think they see Khan as lower risk and higher reward than Alexander. I hope i'm wrong as Brook should be going after a tilte shot, but it is the boxing BUSINESS after all.

It's in Kell's hands now.
If he wants it bad enough, he could get it.

If a money fight with Amir or Ricky isn't achievable next, which I am sure it isn't as Kell doesn't hold a title, the only option is to go to America and see if he can wrest the belt from the champion.
I mean, isn't that what world championship level boxers who want to be great are supposed to do?
Why hang around at home and look for the easy option?

Khan and Brook don't really look the same weight class to me.
Khan isn't a particularly physically strong or durable 140lber, unless he's struggling with the weight I don't see why he would move up. Brook may be a shade sorter but he's a very solidly build 147lb fighter.
I think Book has always seen Khan as a potential shortcut to the top, I'd rather see him make his name beating a genuine welterweight.

Would Brook beat Khan in your opinion ?
If they do fight ?
I think Khan would start fast and win the opening rounds, Brook would struggle to cope with the speed of Khan
however by the middle rounds Kell Brook's power will be the difference between the two fighters
and would win by KO around 8th or 9th round.

It has to be a World Title fight with that being his 3rd World Title Eliminator. Alexander is technically very good and I can see his reluctance to commit causing Brook problems, Alexander could keep him at range land hi punches and move off whereas Brook does like to set his feet before throwing combinations. I think a Malignaggi fight would be better for Brook and more winnable but less likely.

Fight alexander in the US and make a statement, best route in my opinion.

Agreed, if brook is as good as they all say he should be able to deal with Alexander, getting the decision if it goes all the way might be hard work out there though

Just watched the first 7 rounds of the Bailey Alexander fight very boring. Didn't see anything going forward which Kell should be scared of he should go to the US, take him out ( which won't be easy) and make a statement. Kells been an exciting fighter for a while now is the time fo fulfill his potential.

I actually think Brook – Khan will happen before Kell fights for a trinket. Alexander should really be looking for sexier options that Brook. I still think Kell has the power to stop Khan.
Amir should be moving up after this farce of a fight anyway, or he’s going to get left behind by the likes of Bradley and Alexander. Even Malignaggi has a belt at 147.

Alexander will be better against Kell Brook. He was obviously very wary of the old man's one punch stopping power. Brook doesn't have that. Alexander won all 10 rds over Maidana, all 12 over Bailey. He won't be easy to budge, not that I hold him in any high regard but I think he's a level above Brook.

I think Eddie Hearn should throw as much money as they can at Paulie Mag before Hatton gets into the ring.
Paulie travels and doesnt have a ko punch, an ideal opponent for Kell Brook in my opinion. Also he has lost to both Khan and Hatton and if Brook beats him well then its only adds to the purse for a battle of Britain.
