I remember back in 2009 that Calzaghe was awarded a settlement against FW and then a year later had to sue for the money as FW had dissolved the company concerned. As I recall it was a couple of million owing. I've not seen anything in the last two years - does that mean they settled out of court?

Anyone know?

Calzaghe was not in dispute with FW (the person), he was in dispute one of the "Sports Network companies".

I understand that Calzaghe "won" his case, however if I recall correctly (obviously I don't know the full details) the company he was in dispute with did not have any cash or assets and was wound up and did not actually pay out - allegedly ..................

Nope, Calzaghe was given the legal green light, full steam ahead...whether he did or not, who knows? 8)

I thought there had been an 'out of court' settlement on the eve of more court dates.

Joe had / has an excellent Lawyer Macho.

I know that, mate, it's the business I'm in.
I don't think anyone knows precisely the outcome other than Joe and Wazza.
The Solicitors will also be bound by Client confidentiality.
It's certainly a touchy subject - Wazza showed me the door for posting my take on it on here some time ago !

I heard from a lawyer who knew someone etc that Joe got over 1.5 mill in settlement. Apparently he used same lawyer Lennox did during one of his disputes.

I thought that Sports Network lost the court case against Calzaghe, then went bust without paying Joe. 2 weeks later FW promotions appeared
