tyson..... and than had a bad 3 loss streak before he fought and wobbled Riddick Bowe.... i think Biggs was a terrific athlete....how much further do you guys think he could have gone as a pro
a) if he had stayed away from crack circa 84-85-86......
b) admittedly tough to analyse on a flimsy body of evidence that was biggs as a pro drug free but how much better would he have done against Tyson lets say in 89 rather than 97, on the assumption Tyrell had stayed drug free and also hadnt been rushed (sacrificed) by the notoriously impatient Duvas?

Who knows? Another potentially good fighter ruined by things outside the ring. Not really my cup of tea to watch, quite boring but he certainly had the skills and physical tools to do better than he did, maybe his punch power was lacking somewhat. Either way I don't think he could have beaten Tyson.

His performance against Sims with a broken collarbone was memorable. The break occured early and was quite evident as he jabbed his way to victory against one of the forgotten bombers of the past.
A very g-ifted and tough fighter, but there's now way to truly know what his demons cost him in the ring.

He'd have been a solid contender in any era. Could have beaten some of the weaker champions.

Despite his crack habit he always looked a specimin of health and vitality, and came in shape.
The paradox as some1 else said was his balletic footwork and fancy dan style of moving and jabbing belied the terrific toughness he showed against Sims, Bey and Tyson and Bowe.
The Duvas dumped him and he just carried on for so long being a test for the lewis's and bowe's on their way up.

I thought he was a very good fighter but to my untrained eye it sometimes looked like he was forcing things. He wasn’t fluid in the way you’d expect for a top American heavyweight with a boxing style…who’d won gold.
Obviously, he was still a world class fighter and you had to special to beat him.

The book facing Tyson from 3-4 years ago outlined that he wasnt doing terrifically financially, but than again money isnt everything.
Yep Tyrell couldnt ever move or dance for a sustained period usually only a few rounds . Against Tyson by round 3 he was stationary and after against Bowe he couldnt move quickly out of the way like he did a few years earlier.
I always remember the Mason fight. It was dead even after 8 or so and than the seemingly tiring man mountain Gary Mason kayoed him with one punch.

Just finished watching Tyson-Biggs. By round 2, Biggs abandoned the game plan & gave less & less lateral movement as each round progressed. Tyson's body attack is a thing of beauty. Slows Biggs right down. Even when Biggs is cut, Tyson is constantly targeting the body.

He could've been champ in the right circumstances.Didn't have much pop in his punches, however.
