Interesting that Gamaliel Diaz who lost a unanimous decision for the vacant IBO Super Featherweight title against Zolani Marali in 2009 after Marali's disputed loss to Billy Dib beat the reigning champion Takahiro Ao in Tokyo last night for the WBC Super Featherweight title. Before the fight Boxrec had Diaz ranked below current IBO champion Will Tomlinson.
