Honestly dont know if Frankie has got the power to dent Witter off the front foot, as the Vet is surely going to spend the fight in retreat mode looking for some wild counters.

I see Gavin taking the middle of the ring and dictating the pace behind his sharp right jab, I can't see Witter commiting too much. Gavin's combinations will begin to come into play aroun the midway mark I think and he'll begin to wear Witter down before stopping him late or Witter holding on till the end for a lopsided Gavin victory

I've spoken to several lads who've been sparring Junior for this one and the feedback is that he is looking seriously dangerous - very fit, banging very hard and just as tricky as ever.

Junior has operated at a far, far higher than Frankie and is a much harder puncher - and far more unorthodox - than anyone he has ever faced. I understand why Frankie is favourite due to his youth and pedigree but people really shouldn't write off Junior at all.

Also, Gavin has never been a welterweight and he may find it a different ball game when he feels how hard he's gonna get hit!

But he is effectively fighting a 'big lightweight' who can not, it seems, be bothered to get down to Lightweight. Gavin almost looks as if he is at his walking around weight.

Yes on FW channel. Intriguing fight. Much depends on the Witter that shwos up for me. I've never rated Gavin an highly as some on here and he's had a number of personal problems which make me believe that if Witter is on form he could win this. I don't see Gavin having the power to stop Witter and Witter will always be dangerous with his power. The most likely outcome is Gavin on points in a dull fight but if Witter comes in form then he'd be slight favourite for me given his size and experience.

I reckon this will be a close fight, but I can see Witter coming out the blocks early and stealing the first few rounds. Gavin does sit back and pick his shots, but sometimes it is a bit too long between each one, and although he has 10 KO's, I am not sure he will have the power to trouble Witter.

At this point Witter should not pose to many problems for Gavin. He will do his usual prancing about from southpaw to orthodox but will be largely ineffective as per recent form. Cosmetically he looks good, but in reality he is an old man with poor balance. if Gavin has anything about him and I think he does he should be able to handle Jnr fairly well after the first 3 rounds and win by a UD. Witter still has his chin so he won't KO him but Gavin might be able to bash him up enough in order to make him quit with a 'knee injury' or something similar. anyways good luck to both fighters.
