always read the small print, i dare say Don King has a few clauses on any contract. Even when they run out, he may of had percentage of any fight after the contract run out or something like that.

Well said Ryan Coyne, it's pity a lot more boxer's did not have your intellect (be it a bit late coming) promoters that that strap up boxer's are scum of the earth, They are no better than a murderer, A wrong one will play with a boxer career, till he is dead or worthless as a fighter, for their own monetary gain, a bad one will manipulate, lie ,cheat, pretend, all with a smile and false promises of making you into a superstar, if he does make you into a superstar, then you will be strapped up contractually, and you will do as you are told, if he doe's not make you a star, no one else can have you, any attempt to leave to further your career (or earn what you are worth) will result in legal action, even if it's an attempt to cost you lots of money with no real chance of success, as appears in this case (very sad)

I did add after intellect ( be it a bit late) Boxer's should really think hard, if a promoter says he can get you 6 fight a year and does not, make sure there is a clause, if you don’t get what is promised, that you can end the contract, a contract is a two way street,

What rubbish! Fight is in 6 days! Put Clev in with Coyne at the Echo or in London, and let King rot in hell. Both lads deserve better than this.
