I'm disappointed Eastman is doing this to himself. His record is now embarrassing. Given the terrible fate that befell his brother Gilbert, I'd have thought Howard would've been too smart to hang on and get knocked about by men half his age.

Big fan of the Battersea Bomber in his day. Sadly he's another Danny Williams, bent on self destruction.

He should have called it a day after losing to Elcock. Sad to see fighters like him carrying on.

Great Fighter in his day but sadly his day has gone just going in for the money now very sad to see

he is not getting stopped..his last 3 have been on points, is he getting badly beaten up? is there any substance to your arguament?

seriously, have you seen the fights or are you looking at a boxrec record?

Yes, he has been clubbed about and stopped. There is a clip of one of these recent fights that he lost on points on YouTube where you can see he is a 41 year old man who cannot slip punches anymore, so in the space of one round he is eating however many shots from a strong young man in his 20s. There are also Guyanese news reports of all of them, detailing him taking 'big shots' etc.

For a man of his calibre, a guy who almost exclusively used to bludgeon guys to stoppage victories, to be losing regularly to boys of this level shows an undeniable decline.

fair enough mate, i was not sure if you had seen footage as i have not, i thought howard had been covering up and taking the points loss to keep his bank manager happy!

It was a fair question on your part to be honest mate, many here do tend to judge fighters on contests they have never seen or researched!

Sad to see this... Howard was a favourite of mine back in his prime. I noticed he was taking more shots than before even back in his fights with Miranda, Elcock and Duddy, so its sad to think of the extra punches he must be taking now, and Howard has a good chin too which will only make matters worse in the long run unfortunately. This is one of the reasons why there should be some sort of pension plan for boxers once they reach the end of the road, and perhaps more encouragement for exboxers to go into coaching and management.

Saw Gilbert in the Summer, he looks really well.

Sad to see, I always liked Howard.

this is not good. i like howard and he was a smart ring operator at his peak - joppy was a let down though. nevertheless a very skilled artist and i hope he gets out soon with some dough in his pocket
