Alexander has some powerful allies over there, I really hope his team have got some sort of agreement about judges etc, still good luck to Kell, go for it son.

True I can't see this ending inside the distance. Not seen much of Alexander his last fight was a snorefest and stopped watching after 6 rounds. But if he has UD wins over Matthysse and Maidana doubt Kell will take him out.

Been thinking about this, Eddie is shrewd and he knows the odds are stacked against his man going over there, Kell almost certainly has to knock him out.

Its interesting that he is quoted as happy with the initial terms,. it all still has to
be signed and sealed, if they dont get a concerte agreement by around the 22nd I think it then goes to purse bids.

Alexander won't come over here in my view no matter what he is offered (silly offers excluded), therefore going to purse bids could get the fight over here.

There might be a bit of run on this yet boys.

Although perhaps I am too big a conspiracy theorist, there's always that.

I am glad Kell is fighting in America against a very good young opponent, who has beat some of the best in the states, It is better to win a world title this way, he will have the respect of the Americans as well and get some big fights later on, better then winning a vacated title against a picked opponent or being given a WBO title, without fighting for it, like Cleverley did ( not his fault ), this way Kell will be a proper world champion, earned by beating a proper champion, right in front of the big American networks, if he wins in style he will become a big name in the states and demand some big pay days in great unification fights.

No he doesn't, there is no reason he can't outbox Alexander and take a points win. He's good enough to make it obvious to even the most biased of judges that he is the better, more dominant boxer in my opinion.

Remember Kell will be probably the biggest size wize welterweight that Alexander has fought.

Bailey was looking for that huge punch and wasn't it said that he landed the least amount of punches ever in a world title fight that went the distance.

Kell is accurate and powerful in both hands - if the Kell that fought Saldivia turns up then IMO he takes Alexander out late of a MD on points

I see Alexander getting the UD against Brook. This is a huge step up in class for Brook.

I hope Kell avoids the Christmas parties if this happens in January.

I'm never going to forgive Alexander for the whole Bradley eye farce, I personally think Brook has the beating of him but it's always going to be difficult to fight him in his own back yard.

There is a lot of quit in DA.

Alexander isn't an elite fighter. He's looked poor recently, I fancy Kell to beat him but it will probably be a frustrating fight to watch. At least its for a decent title. Hearn has done a good job with Brook since he left a Warren.

In his last two bouts Alexander hardly lost a round against Maidana and Bailey, who are arguably better than anyone Brook has faced. In Brook's last two bouts, he went life and death with Carson Jones and stopped the very mediocre Saldiva.

Brook has a good chance of winning, but recent form doesn't favor him.

it will be brooks biggest challenge by a mile but imo he can do it as long as he cuts no corners what so ever and also doesnt let the occasion get to him

I'm no real fan of Alexander but cant see Brook winning over their in all honesty although I hope I'm wrong. Brook will need to get on Devons case from the getgo and take it to him with hard punches and that's not really Kells style- he's more of the break them down, methodical type. Devon will be good enough to shoot off quick one-twos and clinch and spoil and frustrate Kell. Alexander UD

True, but I've never been impressed by the fairly limited Maidana and Bailey, I mean that man has been around since Hattons WBU days, yeah he could bang but he's past it, beating hime doesn't mean shit these days.

I don't understand why you mentioned recent form when you're arguing in favour of Brook. Do you think Saldivia is a good fighter? Were you impressed with how Brook struggled greatly against someone he was projected to outclass?

I like Kell. He looks the goods, he should beat Alexander. I don't rate him highly, he boxes well but I don't see anything that will trouble Kell to much

I'm holding my horses because the fight isn't definitely confirmed, yet. Hearn was tweeting about a deal agreed "in principle, "couple of things to iron out etc / venues. Fair play if they do allow Kell to venture Stateside for this - it never stuck me as being part of the plan ie giving up home advantage. But then again this is the big league now.

Good points. I'm not arguing that Kells recent form is better than Devons more that Alexander isn't all that himself and has looked lacklustre. Last time I thought he was looking the real deal was when he sparked Urango.

Guess my point is that Alexander isn't such a big step up for brook and he could have the beating of him.

Yep, I think Kell is a year or so away from beating Devon.
