Noticed that Boxrec have Devon Alexander Vs. Kell Brook listed for the 19th January 2013. I think most boxing fans suspect one way or another that the fight will not be happening on that date, or happening at all.

Anyway if the fight does go ahead, what happens in terms of British TV coverage? Of course you'd expect SKY to pick up the fight under their deal with Matchroom however as it's likely to be a Goldenboy show, wouldn't allegedly have a claim to the event seeing they have first pick of Goldenboy events televised in the UK? Would it be possible that both channels show the broadcast simultaneously?

I remember a few years back Setanta had a deal with Top Rank. Fr&nk Warren had not long left Setanta and joined SKY. I can't remember all the details but it wasn't an amicable split with Setanta threatening to sue Warren for breach of contract. Soon after Michael Jennings, promoted by Warren, fought Cotto in America on a Top Rank show. There was some wranglings between all involved but in the end the fight was shown on Setanta, not SKY, as part of their Top Rank deal.

I'd be rather surprised if it didn't end up on Sky.

If it ain't on Sky I can't see it happening.

Kell is not well known in America. It's also a high risk low reward fight for Alexander. Most people I've chatted with suspect Alexander will find a way out, even if that means vacating the title. If that is not the general opinion you've experienced then fair enough. Personally I don't think it will go ahead. If however it does, feel free to come back and rub my nose right in it D

i think part of the deal when they sign the fight is its on sky over here its not going to purse bids where id think the winner could sell the fight to the highest bidder but could be wrong as i dont really know how things work
