But just surprised me a bit that hes gone with the rival promotion to what his siblings are with .

Surely its not just me that thinks this seems a little odd

Ah, gotcha. The Smith brothers are a close-knit family. I can't believe that Callum would have signed for a promoter without discussing it with them. Make of that what you will, I suppose...

Ronnie and Mark Heffron are with different promoters (maybe not 'rival' promoters so to speak). There are various other examples over the years. It's not overly unusual for siblings to be with different promoters. Boxers occasionally decide on what's best for them as an individual rather than following their siblings.

I have no idea if a contract was offered. I'm just a curious boxing fan who also wonders why Callum joined Matchroom instead of his brothers.

Did Hennessey offer him a deal? Channel 5 is the bandwagon to be jumping on for exposure.

Obviously being the baby dont literally make you a baby.He is going to be his own man & I would of thought he knows every scouse pro to get advice from & probably had his ear chewed off by bellew & it makes sense to get more scousers on matchroom.
He's made the best decision in my opinion.
