To be fair you send an invoice for expect payment 30 days NET

You start a job on the 1st you don't get paid til the 30th

BUT Bunny has a history!

Why is allegedly known as Allegedly?

I've been calling him Allegedly for quite a while out of habit....

Board rules are within 7 days not 30 days!

But don't let facts get in the way Dan  how the hell you can compare a bloody invoice to a boxer getting paid is ludicrous. Put your brain in gear before posting complete tosh. And FYI boxers don't get holiday pay either

I reckon Dan thinks allegedly has sorted his fighters out with a work place pension.

This has now become farcical and totally unacceptable. The Board need to look at the rules with a view to proposing some changes which guarantee that the fighter will be paid as soon as possible. My own thoughts are that the promoter should have to deposit the money in an escrow account and that money then be transferred to the fighter once the fight has taken place. If the fighter does not fight then the money just goes back to the promoter. This would be a fair way of resolving the situation.

I hope that this clears things up for you Mr. Leforge. See you on Saturday in Nottingham.

Regulation 9.37 requires that:
9.37 Promoters shall pay the purse to the Boxer himself or to the Boxer’s duly authorised representative if the Boxer so desires. Every Boxer being paid up to £3,000 shall be paid on the evening of the Contest and shall sign for his purse money in a book kept by the Promoter. Such book shall be open to inspection by the Board or Area Council if required. All purse moneys shall be paid within 7 days of the Contest taking place.

I trust that this answers all and any questions regarding payment of purse money to a Boxer.

Very good idea the board should implement this straight away

Surely the thread title should be Junior the Hitter Witter Twitter!

I noticed that gorgeous Eddie had retweeted this...I bet he's loving it.

From this point forward I will have no sympathy for any fighter who finds himself in this predicament with this promoter. That's not me implying guilt, by the way. I'm merely saying that if you keep hearing stories about people being attacked by a particular dog when they patted it on the nose and you proceed to pat it on the nose, you're a fornicating dummy.

So let's assume that the board rule in favour of Witter. What happens then? Does FW get a fine? Does Witter get compo? There has to be a deterrent, surely?

X2, seems so simple too, a bit like tenants paying their bond to some holding fund

Don't quote me on this but from information I received from a friend who recently put on a show he had to pay the BBBofC a 10k retainer.

I don't know if that's a set figure across the board or is based on a % of your purse fees.
