Whats peoples thoughts on this one for Saturday, i've watched a few of Bolonti's fights on youtube , and he likes to come forward and take control of the ring centre. He doesn't seem to have the best defense, there's not much head movement from him. Bellew shouldn't have to go looking for him and his punches should find the target.
Bolonti is unbeaten for 6 years and has only lost a 4 rounder near the start of his career, so he should be here in full confidence. This one could be fight of the night, i think it depends if Bomber boxes or gets into a punch up. I can see Bellew using his boxing and movement early on, but getting dragged into a fight in the middle rounds, i'm going for a late round stoppage for Bomber

I thought Bellew was pushing on after the Miranda fight, I guess this must just be a keep busy one.

Dont think it'll reach the halfway point. Bolonti has an unremarkable record.

Fair to say that Bolonti has made a career of fighting local stiffs and I should think that Bomber is the first 'live' fighter he has faced. Don't see anything other than a stoppage win for Bomber.
For all Bolonti seems to have a padded record, he is ranked highly by the WBC so a win here really catapults Bomber up the rankings and therefore I can fully understand why he's taken this fight.
I don't see this going further than about six or seven.

You know what? I respect Bellew for the quotes contained in that article. He came as close to saying the opponent is crap without actually saying he's crap as he possibly could. If this one is not done and dusted within 4 or 5 rounds, I'd be a bit surprised.

Also will help in the rankings for bigger fights next year.

Bolonti looks soft at the weight, looks to me like he could make Sm or even M weight. Bomber will have a stone on him on the night.

His record is almost comedic he beat the same person 4 times in 4 years and had repeat bouts with other local pugs. The WBC ranking is utter garbage, saying that it's not TB's shout and I hope he really does a job.

I'll be honest I often see really strange choices high in a lot of organisations rankings and say to myself 'if I was this British fighters promoter I'd have him in with this guy to give him the best chance of getting into the mandatory spot.' I think that is all that is going on here, it is a keep busy fight but instead of facing just a softer touch as a keep busy fight he is fighting a softer touch who is highly ranked.

After tonight I expect to see Bellew topping bills in eliminators or final eliminators for World titles. With Bellew holding the WBC Silver title (used to be the International title) you'd expect it to be WBC eliminators.

Actually looking at the WBC ratings at the mo the top 5 is Hopkins, Gutknecht (the European champ), Grachev, Bute and Bolonti. Gutknecht might be a good option and is really highyl ranked by everyone but will no doubt be difficult to get out of Germany.

If Froch wins tomorrow could we see the possibility of Bellew on the undercard of the rematch against Grachev ?

I see Hopkins next for Cleverly and Gutneckt wont leave Germany and I doubt Bellew would want to go over there.

Has Bellew missed a lot? Is Tony looking very frustrated in there? Defensively slick is a better term but he is no mug.
