Yeah , he can still come again on the domestic scene. Its not exactly over loaded with talent at the moment. Krzysztof Glowacki looks a decent boxer, and Askin can learn alot from that fight even though he lost, going by reports he gave it a good go.

I'll wait till I've watched the fight back to say where I think he should go from here. I thought Askin had a real chance last night but at this moment in time I know absolutely nothing other than the result. So I can't really comment on specifics and opponents.

Irrespective of whether his performance was good, bad or indifferent, he probably needs a couple of wins on the bounce again now against a reasonable level of opposition. There are enough quality cruisers in Europe who need testing hard before they take the next step up. Providing Askin can maintain his credibility, he could find a niche as a fairly well paid cruiserweight gatekeeper/benchmark. Win a few, lose a few.

You must not of been keeping a eye on the domestic scene recently. Cruiserweight division is livening up nice, best in fact it's been for a long time. There's Jon Lewis-Dickinson sitting at the top for now, then there's Tony Conquest, Matty Askins, there's the young unbeaten lads closing in on them, there's the very heavy handed former ABA & Nations Heavyweight champion Chris Keane, Commonwealth games medalist Stephen Simmons, Ex G.B boxer Danny Price, Wadi Camacho (who Keane 1 sidedly beat up in Nations Final), all very talented. Askins most definitely can come back from this loss. Massive credit to him for taking the chance, nice couple fights back then see where he goes from there. Then there's the likes of David Dolan, China Clarke, all looking to make title challenges, Shane Mcphilbin will no doubt be looking to get back in the mix, has will Mike Stafford & Hari Miles, so really theres a good few competitive fights out there.

I'd like to see him fighting Stephen Simmons although unless he gets a win he's in his next fight i can see him becoming a stepping stone in the division for the

will he be back in the ring on the 14th in blackpool. probably would be a good idea to get that loss out of is system and enjoy christmas

out of those boxers you've mentioned i agree they are good for the domestic scene, and Askin can mix with them well. But there's not much their that will go beyond domestic level for me.
Thats not to say that they can't put on some good fights between them.

Good point there,A few years back the CW division was stale and not very good.Now the future looks quite promising with lots of good domestic fighters to match.
