I was just thinking that exact thing. Good question.

Inspectors are there just to ensure there is no funny business in the corner (I.e only one corner man in the ring, no suspicious substance being used etc). Inspectors are not allowed to alert the ref or doctor to cuts.

The Insider is correct.

The only person who can ask the doc to look at the cut is the ref. The doc was sitting patiently next to me.

I remember seeing a fight either this year or last I cannot remember who it was but the ref stopped the fight on a cut. Just the ref no doctors inspection. I thought that was unusual.
