can it get any worse ? a fight that doesnt even need a belt manny /marquez 4 suddenly gets one - sick of all the intercontinental,silver champions oh and lets not forget the super champions-dont blame the boxers but the organisations just keep diluting their worth more and more- no wonder UFC is miles ahead when it comes to the public knowing who is the actual champion!

As i've said before lets see how many titles UFC has in 10 years time. It'll be no different from boxing. Thats not to say this new WBO title isn't utter shite as well.

What a load of balls, to the man on the street they think UFC is a sport not a promotional organisation, (yeh man i train UFC, im hard as nails, look at my tapout t-shirt)

Yeah but UFC, Cage Rage, Strike Force, Pride FC that's only to name a few they are all the same really just the boxing been around longer! It's all penny pinching like in the kickboxing circuit there was WKA, WAKO, WKN, WKF, WRSA, IKF, ISKA that's just to name a few then u have all the people who make there own organisations so they can claim they have more champions :s contact sports are all becoming a big joke! :( in the cage they are good as its evenly matched fights mostly but I do know it's falling apart at alot of places due to unofficial weigh-ins... People from down the pub watch it and think they can do it and end up getting hurt :( sooo much behind the scenes goes on it's a shame! Hope though they get boxing back on track and make the big fights happen ;) I know I'm willing to get in the mix with anyone... :p

Champion of the decade?! We're only 2 years in to the decade...

A decade is ten years, so it could be WBO champion of the last ten years.

I think it would make boxing better if they had a WBO/IBF/WBC/WBA champion of the hour, day, week, month, year, decade, century and millenium... then I'ld have more chance of grabbing a world title, probably for a vacant belt...

honestly you'd be hard pressed to find any punter being able to tell you the name of a UFC champion, not even the likes of Anderson Silva or GSP, hell I used to follow MMA religiously and those are the only two guys that I know for sure are still champions(unless I've missed a massive upset) as much as the MMA fanboys like to deny it, but nobody gives a flying fornicate about the UFC unless it involves a brawl.

Cage Warriors World Champion
Cage Rage World Champion
OMMAC Champion
Cage Contender Champion


etc...

This is like

Frank Maloney World Champion
allegedly World Champion
Matchroom World Champion


they are all as bad as each other

if you wanna see a brawl then tune in to a frankie edgar fight but if you wanna see a technical demolition of a fighter watch a jon jones fight. for people to think of ufc as a sport is like people thinking wbc,wba or ibf is a sport,they are just organisations which is why it easier for the promotor (dana white) to make the best fight the best and the ufc is buying every other organisation in mma worth a damn out, pride has gone,strikeforce is or has had its last show and wec has gone too,it would be like don king or bob arum buying all the belts up and every fighter in boxing being under him,in theory this is the only way boxing will be cleaned up until then enjoy the alphabet belts soon there will be a world champion for every country.

Any one who knows boxing knows who the real champions are more title belts just means more money for fighters. This new belt does not confuse or frustrate me perhaps with more on the line it will be a better fight.

What makes you say that? One of the things the UFC seems to have learnt from boxing is "don't confuse the fck out of the fans". I'd be more than surprised if your prediction comes true.
