Im sure lots have seen this but it was my first viewing. Reading the story that evolved afterwards and Butler killed Sam Kellerman. You know the commentator in Rocky Balboa Max Kellerman, is there any relation there, maybe father?

Since Butler only got 29 years, does that mean he will be eligible for parole after around 15? Or do you serve the full 29?

No dude, it's America. No getting out halfway! He killed the guy and then burnt the house down to try and disguise the crime. Basically don't invite a head-case to live with you, and then expect him not to bludgeon you to death when you want to kick him out. There's a moral there somewhere!

I read an excellent article post Grant but pre Kellerman. It was in either BM or BN.

The article spoke about how it had become cool to not just beat your opponent, but demean him as well. The idea was that at some point, someone was going to land on somebody after the fight due to the fact they were being humiliated.

What a disgusting man Butler is, horrible move to pull.

It shows how much a good boxer can negate the power in a punch if he knows its coming or expects it. Getting hit by a sucker punch like that does so much damage. It's how a lot of pub bullies get their rep up, by breaking folks faces with a sly dig.

From memory Grant was more than just knocked out, he sustained a badly broken jaw. Not very fresh!

I don't remember him being knocked out, but it's been awhile since I saw it, I could be wrong.

But yeah, his mouth/jaw were pretty fvcked, from what I recall.

Tongue injury, 26 stitches, and his jaw was only temporarily dislocated.

Very true, i've seen it happen a few times, and usually the bully only goes for someone they know they can beat, but still they sucker punch them.

Yeah, in front of a crowd of coppers and emergency service personnel, what a dickhead. I believe he was arrested at the venue by off duty cops watching the fight, his purse was forfeited, fight licence was cancelled and he was subsequently sentenced to a stint inside.
