I think apart from one other know promoter down in Dumfries, they're the only semi-pro promoters I've heard of in Scotland.

I think it all depends on what area of the country you're from.

Damian Hucker off've here seems to have a well established show in Nottingham I think it is.

Damien is big is in his own part of the country but not sure how far reached elsewhere he is

What he does is good but probably not one of the biggest nationwide

He is know as dukeries fightcards and is part of O.I.B.A

Individually they are big shows but id suggest that people like EBF and IBA are probably the biggest .

SK promotions may be big in scotland but not in the grand scheme of things

They expected me to bring two lads to box there for £100 each recently

Not a chance on earth would probably cost a lot of that to just get there .

Tickets when your the home fighter

but if you box away from home you get a purse of £150-£200 plus travel costs depending on who your boxing (from my experience )

can be more to box someone whos a bigger ticket seller or doing more rounds or someone whos hard to get matched etc etc etc

Eric the Viking at Newcastle area gets around £500 cos hes a big guy that looks the part to be fed to ticket sellers , at least thats impression i get .

I dont put shows on i just train a few lads so im not exactly an expert i guess

Interesting, never really knew what the going rate was for these guys.

i had a fight last year,a fiver off of every ticket i sold :( tickets prices were 50 or 60 quid

My lads yesterday got a tenner on the £25 tickets and £15 on the £35 tickets (apparantly used to do 50 50 on £20 tickets but thats before i was around)

one lad earned £385 and one earned £240

3 rounds 2 minuttes each

theyre only really novices and both lost but to them they would rather learn to box and get paid than go down the amateur route

Between them they did around 60 tickets approximately , if a novice pro did 60 tickets on a small hall show as a home fighter what would they get ? after paying trainers and managers etc probably about £500 i reckon if that .

so looking at it that way a total of £625 is probably not too bad really .

wish it was like that up here,id definetly be tempted out of retirement haha
