Kessler-Magee

Is this on telly at the weekend?
I agree. If Kessler has declined, like his looks like he has (a lot more static and easier to hit these days), then I think Magee could be very problematic for him. Equally, if Kessler is sharp then I can see him taking Magee out of there. Will be an interesting fight. Both are very pleasant and respectful guys out of the ring, it seems to me.Chambers2 wrote:If Kessler's not on his game I reckon Magee can cause him some BIG problems. Magee's a tricky customer, he's an experienced 12 round fighter and he's well travelled............. but in saying all that if Kessler turns up and performs how we know he can then he should stop Brian
He does look huge Kessler fair play, but surprisingly in his last bout which was at LHW he only weighed in 171, so maybe not so big after all?DavidPayne wrote:Very live fight this, in my opinion. Kessler must be finding 168 very hard. Fecking giant.
My mate michael sweeney pro from ireland spent 3weeks in denmark sparring kessler v green and spent time with magee v kessler. and says magee has a good chance magee moves more good hand speed...watch out and stillblack panther wrote:Kessler has slowed somewhat. He was hurt pretty bad by Green. Obviously you have to favour him to detonate a straight right on Magees chin and ko him around round 8 but I give Magee I slight chance. Magee has shown he's good at working the body and the Calzaghe fight showed Kessler doesn't like it downstairs. It's also worth mentioning Magee was giving Froch serious problems before being cold cocked.
Me too. I anticipate Kessler throwing many right hands, to Magee's body.orbtastic wrote:I'm looking forward to this.
Did they both make the weight at the first time of asking?Freiheit wrote:There is live weigh-in here in 15 minutes: http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_spor ... 879962.ece
Depends if he can take Magees laser-guided right hand though.Datsue wrote:Me too. I anticipate Kessler throwing many right hands, to Magee's body.orbtastic wrote:I'm looking forward to this.
Yes, Magee 168, Kessler 167,75Chambers2 wrote:Did they both make the weight at the first time of asking?Freiheit wrote:There is live weigh-in here in 15 minutes: http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_spor ... 879962.ece
You think Bute is better than Kessler?markfightoptions wrote:Magee is gonna stop Kessler, Kesller is on the slide and Magee (even at his age) has been progressing his last number of fights. (even the Bute KO was a decent performance)
I put this down to his switch to Bernardo Checa about 5 fights ago.
Magee by TKO body shots in the 8th
Kessler is more proven than Bute in my eyes, but I fear age and injuries is starting to catch up with him and Bute has been fairly lucky with injuries. As for this fight, Magee has got to stop to Kessler to avoid getting done on the scorecards which is a difficult feat itself as Calzaghe had to go 12 to stop and Ward got an 11 round technical decision after a headclash/headbutt dependent on your view. But I think Kessler is too experienced at world level and stopped a game Magee in my eyes.forcefraser wrote:You think Bute is better than Kessler?markfightoptions wrote:Magee is gonna stop Kessler, Kesller is on the slide and Magee (even at his age) has been progressing his last number of fights.
