The man you're talking about was Mark Lloyd they are good friends today & often speak over the phone. Mark Lloyd is not exactly a journeyman.IronLiver wrote:Heard this guys a scum bag. My only memory of him is knocking a journeyman down in one of his early fights with a body shot as the guy was on his hands and knees cox lifted his foot and cocked his leg as if he was about to drive the boot in. He had a stern talking to by the ref it was a DQ in my opinion. Jim Watt was disgusted!
If his left his current promotor he probably be more active!Talkischeap wrote:Your not wrongOld bones Ian wrote:He needs to be busy in 2013, not sure whats going on with his promotion side, but alot of good boxers are just not busy enough. I find it odd sometimes as they are good ticket sellers
thing is the promoter has a signed contract, and they won't just let a boxer walk away usually.leforge wrote:If his left his current promotor he probably be more active!Talkischeap wrote:Your not wrongOld bones Ian wrote:He needs to be busy in 2013, not sure whats going on with his promotion side, but alot of good boxers are just not busy enough. Was not a journeyman, it was Mark Lloyd, he fought for the european title and the English title.IronLiver wrote:Heard this guys a scum bag. ive herd al harbi stepping in his on the same card to fight lloyd for mids titlejam100 wrote:Lloydy is form the same town as me - to say his a journeyman is harsh!
He has only ever lost to high level operators and has a fight due on the 16th against Max Maxwell (though can see this being scrapped with Max's Ochieng fight)
Interesting - they fought probalbly a month back - in what was a tickover fight for both which i believe Al Harbi won comfortbaley - though Llodyy treated it as a fitness excercise for a Masters Title fight he had (which fell through)maley1984 wrote:ive herd al harbi stepping in his on the same card to fight lloyd for mids titlejam100 wrote:Lloydy is form the same town as me - to say his a journeyman is harsh!

Think Al Harbi would win again but dont see what he would gain from it, unlesshe saw it a keep busy fight

Talkischeap wrote:Jamie shattered his hand in third round of that fight & has since had 3 lots of surgery a bone taken from his hip & added to his hand. I'm not defending the low blows just saying Jamie did what he had to do. Nobody has ever mentioned the 3 cuts Jamie sustained two from Sai's head & 1 from his elbow, all of which Mark Green saw, maybe some method in his madness, I don't know. What I do know is lesser men would have quit on there stool.
Are you the man in the pork pie hat? (Not at Khans fight) Had to buy one myself after.Talkischeap wrote:Jamie shattered his hand in third round of that fight & has since had 3 lots of surgery a bone taken from his hip & added to his hand. Sorry but I'm, and I'd hope most would agree, with the guy who wins getting the nod, couldn't care less where they are from. Sai deserved to beat Cox that night, even forgetting the points Cox should have had deducted, no amount of bullshit and bluster changes that.wappingboy wrote:if that fight had been in italy and cox a itilian they would of not give a shit about a few lowe shots or in africa thinking about it but it been a dinner show didn't help all them do gooders what happened to supporting the brit ok he may not be the nicest of fellas but iam with the brit against any african any day
