Lewison vs Darch

I rated Darch, he seems a pretty good heavyweight, naturally big and has fast hands.
Lewison is like a poor mans Gary Mason but if he just trained a bit more and got his
cardio up, he could do well on a domestic level.
Does anyone know any more about the 4th round stoppage win for Lewison?

Was there and it was a very good show,, all the East Europeans had a go and came to win.
The Darch/Lewison contest was a heavyweight cracker just like the old days.
Ist round they felt eachother out, 2nd round was fireworks Lewison had Darch over but he got up and finished the round 3rd round was won by Lewison, 4th round Lewison exploded a big right hand and it left Darch on the deck in a neutral corner needing medical help.
Lewison it had to be said was really up for this one.
Heard later that there had been some needle on the internet between the 2 of them.
As you say if Lewison trained hard who knows what he could do on the domestic scene, in the crowd was the ever popular Julius Francis.

Yes. I watched it. It was a really, really good scrap. A credit to the matchmaker. Both boys came out gunning and they pretty much just had a war until Lewison eventually detonated a huge uppercut that Darch was never going to recover from. It's a fight (emphasis on
fight rather than
boxing match) that's more than worth watching.
Lewison is talented and undoubtedly has the skill-set to mix it at the top-end of domestic level if (and it's a big 'if') he can get his arse in gear and get in shape. He's fat and nowhere near as fit as he could be. He can also be dragged into a war too easily when he's actually a better boxer than he is a fighter. Now that he's with Don Charles there's a chance he'll apply himself but judging by the shape Chisora has been in at times, that's not a sure bet.
Darch, on the other hand, is a well conditioned guy. He is also tough (that's not to say Lewison isn't, I think he is) and has a decent work-rate. But that's about where it stops just now. He's not a puncher or a technician and he doesn't move his head at all and will never beat anyone with a pulse until he starts to do so. I respect him for travelling over from Wales for the match the other night, it shows he has some ambition and he brought two coach loads of supporters with him, so I'm sure he could easily have kept fighting on home shows against imports and earning a few quid - maybe that's what he'll go back to doing.
Like I said, both boys deserve plaudits for putting on a great scrap. But only one of them has the potential to really push on. Has he got the dedication to do so? We'll have to wait and see.
