with ricky hatton now retired wich fights/ fighter could sell out the MEN fully?

If we discount fights that simply wouldn't happen here e.g. Mayweather vs Pacquiao and the like...I'm struggling. I don't think any Brit vs Brit match could do it right now.

Freddie Flintoff sold the MEN out didn't he?

I think Fury v Price would have a reasonable chance of too. I think a lot of casuals (as in casual boxing fans not football hooligans) would be attracted to heavyweight boxing.

Did he heckers like. Whilst his fight did pretty good numbers, he didn't come close to selling out the lower tier.

Edit: Also, on Fury, whilst his stock is growing, if he was a big ticket seller, he'd be fighting in big venues and selling lots of tickets. He's doing neither right now. He's got a solid core fan-base and increasing television support that hasn't yet really turned into live gate ticket sales. Maybe it will maybe it wont. Hatton and the other Manc ticket Gods of the early 00s were exceptional for a number of reasons.

I heard Flintoff did about 5,000 which is just over a quarter full I think.

Only a stacked card with four or 5 big domestic dust ups and/or world title fights featuring a majority of local lads could do it in my opinion.

Groves vs DeGale
Quigg vs Frampton

Just a few of examples. Saying that, putting a show like that together would be almost impossible.

Amir Khan v Kell Brook would have a decent chance, as would Price v Fury or Haye v Price/Fury.

Khan-Brook and Fury-Price would definatly do it,Froch-Kessler should with a good undercard and reasonble pricing and decent promotion.Froch-Degale/Clevery/Groves could also do it,Haye could probaly still sell it out if he wanted.

Hasn't Brook sold out the 10,000 capacity Sheffield place a couple of times?

I was just thinking that but I'm always sceptical after hearing people on more than one occasion claim there were 20,000 tickets sold for his fights at the Motorpoint, when the capacity is 13,500, which is obviously BS. If he has indeed sold that place out then I'd agree that there's every chance he and Khan could sell out the MEN.

All of those fight would definatly do it,the casuals love a big domestic fight which is hyped up.Groves-Degale did 16000 which was impressive numbers considering the were basicly novices.

He sold it out once which was the matt Hatton fight, he got 6000-7000 got Jones/Saldavia.There is not a doubt in my mind that Khan-Brook at the right time and if Kell beats someone decent first and wins a Wold title would sell out the MEN.The Sky promotion for that would be crazy.

I reckon

David Price v Tyson Fury would be a sell out and if you back up with a decent bill of fights with it with Maloney and Hennessy working together (being a tad optimistic) you could have a fantastic night of boxing there.

I think it depends if you literally mean the MEN or do you mean just doing 20k tickets anywhere in the UK?

For example I've seen a few mentions of Groves v Degale its a bit fight and as someone said it did big numbers last time, but I think if it was going to sell near to 20k tickets it would need to be in London.

I dont think the fight is as big as it was. Sky really pushed the last one and to be frank, it was a bit dissapointing.

I think he is talking about John Murray vs Derry Matthews - it wouldn't sell out the MEN though -
nowhere near - boxing has changed where one fight can sell out a venue that size.

I've been to Brooks last 3 at the Motorpoint, only v Mathew Hatton was it anywhere near full. Against Jones and Saldivia they had a 3rd of the upper tier blacked out - and there was still empty seats!
