He was looking for the over hand right quite a bit. Dawson looked really good how he put heavy hurtful shots together.

Like said above its hard to recover from them early ones.

Its happened to good boxers before and they have come back to have excellent careers, Tony Sibson is a good example of that.

I haven't see the fight and the nature of the stoppage but getting one rounded is sometimes just one of those things that happens. Embarrassing more than anything. Providing you have the mental fortitude to realise (or at least convince yourself) that you made a mistake or got caught cold, rebuilding shouldn't be too much of an issue. If it becomes a habit, though, find a new job.

The commentators seemed to think he was so out of it he didn't know where he was, but to me it just looked like he'd been hit so hard, and was so shocked, he just didn't fancy it any more.
He was on the canvas blinking, and rubbing his eye, implying he'd been thumbed, but he got really whacked by 2 right hands.

Conquest im told is a really nice fella, im hoping he can come back from it, and i dont see why not. He got caught early, its nature of the beast at times, it looked like he came out with a bad game plan or choice IMO. Conquest come out at the start firmly planting his feet throwing full bloodied shots, has if he wanted to trade, there's one thing having confidence, there's another being silly, and on Saturday night he was silly IMO. Dawson can punch a bit, Conquest can't really punch and was over confident after having a good couple of early wins IMO, albiet against lads who cant really hold a shot too well, it was a bad decision has proven. He got caught has he was throwing a left hook, right hand with a right hand counter, left hook. The right hand caught him around the temple and the left hook was right on the button in fairness, the expression on his face was more of a "Fuk, that hurt" though than a concussive, dont know where he was look. while on the floor his eyes seemed clear, has did they when he was on his stool, only he knows if he could of at least try and beat the count. I've wondered about his heart and grit when the going gets tough since he or his team or someone advising him (not sure exactly who) refused to fight my lad on 2 occasions after we agreed, maybe we now know the answer.

Dawson is very underrated.

looked good early on against Askin but is plagued by inactivity....(is this due to injury?)

I thought Dawson looked a bit awkward and uncultured - still, he got the job done.

Neils lack of activity was down to the pressures of work rather than a lack of desire to fight.

Just watched the fight, and Conquest looked well in control till the end, Dawson was getting hit quite easily, but he landed a right hand just on a break that seemed to shake Conquest then a few seconds later landed the right and big left that ended it.
Maybe Tony could of got up, but he had the look of shock on his face and it wasn't a light knockdown, but i think he was taken by surprise by it and couldn't respond to the count, he was down for a while after the count.

He can still come back from this, and Dawson can look forward to more fights in the future he might get some sponsorship now

Old Bones is bang-on, it was the short right hook on the way out of a clinch that did a lot of the damage - Conquest's expression suddenly changed, and the right hand - left hook that put him down didn't even look like full-blooded shots. Looks like he was caught cold.

The rematch with Dawson has been confirmed for 16th March at Wembley. Fair play to Tony for getting straight back in against the lad who just KO'd him.
