Properly not too far off folks but here are my World level and domestic,there are some obvious ive deliberative missed and based on no promotor objection (dont ask for much do i ) -in no particluer order

World

Tony Bellew v Chad Dawson/Jean Pascal - think this could be the acid test for Tony after a lot of people still seem to have questions over his potential

Ricky Burns v Adrian Broner - This could be a slobber knocker fight and could be a career defining fight for Burns and could be a real scalp- fight sells itself dosent

Matt Macklin v Peter Quillin - Quillan impresses me but i think Macklin could out muscle him and has been unlucky agaisnt strum

Gavin Rees v Richard Abril- Feel that Rees has been left out a bit with all the talk of Burns/Mitchell last year, always thought that Burns/Rees would have made maybe a better figth, but Abril in with Rees will be a good a tussle should they meet.

George Groves v Arthur Abraham - This fell through ,with the way Groves confidently seems to think he can operate at World level Abraham could be a good scrap as he hasent been the same fighter since his move up and a younger fresher fighter could outdo that

Domestic

Derry Matthews v Anthony Crolla 2 - This could be a good one as the last one was a decent scrap and Derry still has a good few scraps left in him

Kevin Mitchell v Gary Buckland - Good comeback fight ,and Buckland currently flying after a good win over Steve Foster Jnr .

Martin Lindsay v John Simpson 2 - first one was a cracker .

Stephen Simmonds v Tony Conquest - Simmonds is on a good run the now ,and will be looking to step it up in 2013 and Tony will be hoping to return to winning ways after a ko to Neil Dawson

I don't see one British winner in the international fights. Tony is benefiting hugely from the Boxrec bounce if people really want to stick him in with either of those two yet.

Groves possibly over Abraham but I agree otherwise (Bellew/Bomber is going to get the shock of his life when he fights a genuine world class fighter .... Cleverly doesn't count)

Thats what I think he gets the British belt and then on to European level and beyond I really like him and have said it before his the second best light welter in the UK behind Amir Khan

Re Crolla-Matthews 2....does anyone think Crolla should try to move back to super feather? In which case, I'd throw Simpson-Crolla into the list. I really like Crolla but just get the feeling his punch power hasn't transitioned to the higher weight.
Also...Simpson-Stevie Smith 3 (which would obviously need to see Smith move up from feather)
And you've maybe guessed by now that Simpson's my favourite UK fighter

Exactly what I thought , maybe Rees would do ok but I've only seen Abril vs that maniac Rios.
Groves may catch Abraham but Arthur has proved his durability, George is vulnerable at times but a cracking fighter with a hurtful punch of his own

i will be honest i thought he would have packed it in after his last loss,but he done well against Appleby didnt he .

He was fantastic against Appleby, although I think Paul needs a long break and a career recharge. I had Appleby losing the decision he got on the Burns-Moses bill (can't remember the name of the guy he fought...Irish fighter) and the Walsh fight was a physical ordeal.

Re John, I really hope he doesn't move up for the mooted fight v Scott Harrison because I think he looks rejuvenated in his current division.

(Oh , by the way, just checked Stevie Smith's record since the Selby loss and see his last 3 have been at super-feather....doh!!)

aye the weight def has had the difference in him , your right about the apps figtht against Ormond,i had him down losing and he was luky to get the decision .

The list of British fighters who are more likely than not to appear in World title fights (of varying levels) in 2013 is pretty exciting....

Light Heavy - Cleverly, Bellew
Super Middle - Froch, Groves, DeGale
Middle - Murray, Macklin, Barker
Welter - Brook
Light Welter - Khan
Light - Burns, Rees

The you have a number of domestic and European level types who could be in a position for a shot by this time next year or sooner, such as Chisora, Saunders, Gavin, Quigg, Frampton and McDonnell.

If the fights get made, this really could be a fantastic year for UK boxing.
