When the Chisora v Haye fight was announced the Board wrote to every licence holder warning them of disciplinary action if they got involved . That was later revealed to have been legally wrong, but nevertheless the promotion took place in this country with one of the boxers being suspended and the other without a licence, and he had been involved in the same incident which led to Chisora's suspension.
Six months later and the whole sorry saga has been swept under the carpet.
One possible message from the Board could be - our rules are no more than guidelines and if you are powerful enough then you don't need to obey them. Meanwhile all you other ordinary guys MUST obey the rules or we'll come down on you like a ton of bricks.
The Board is simply without leadership. The man who should have been leading the charge against this fiasco, the Chairman, has done nothing. I can't remember him making any statement about the whole thing, then or since.
To my mind there has simply been a backstreet deal between the Board and you know who to let things fade away and hope everybody forgets about it .
What this event tells me is that we don't need any governing body at all. As long as promoters ensure that medically they are covered in case of a disaster then we can all just go on our merry way.
Personally I want the Chairman sacked ( he would have resigned in any other organisation) and somebody with the utmost integrity installed in his place.

If anything people have been rewarded, Heffron who was on the show has been given 2 final eliminators by the board and Walsh was given a world title shot against Burns before his accident, trainers and managers on the show have been involved in titles and the promoter has been given Eliminators and titles for his fighters, soon Chisora and Haye will be given their licenses to fight again.

What about all the people who did not go on the show for fear of losing their licenses, a big payday lost, they compiled with the board and have been let down, I bet if it had been smaller fry, the board would have come down on them like a ton of bricks, it's all about money and looking after themselves, rather then administrating the law fairly, evenly no matter how big or how much money you have.

i would personally sue the board, It's not rocket science, anybody who lost money as a result of not turning up, because of fear of losing there BBBoc licence. and got proof they was ment to be involved in the Haye/Chisora show, would surely have suffered damages, especially as they did fk all to the Main player's, Case already won in my eyes.
