did`nt pryor beat up arguello really badly in the second fight??the first fight was an all time classic imo
would love to see to have seen pryor against amir khan :lol: :lol:

Yeah I have both fights, the 1st fight is an all time classic about even throughout the first 13 rounds before Aaron comes on hard late and stops Arguello in the 14th, in the rematch Arguello isn't able to put up nearly as stiff a challenge and Pryor runs through him considerably easier...he's still game in the rematch though, the 1st fight simply took a lot out of Arguello.

It wasn't comletely one-sided. Argeullo did have some moments. Still, Pryor had the upper hand the majority of the time. If the 2nd fight was the only fight they ever had, it would be well remembered. However, because of the first fight it is almost forgotton.

I think the beating that Arguello took in that 14th round was enough. Many boxing insiders knew that the second fight was not going to be the same fight as the first one. Pryor was on top of his game, in his glorious prime and Arguello left it all in that first fight. He did not had nothing left. He was through
