Luke Campbell, Anthony Joshua and Nicola Adams will all receive MBE's. They all did well to win a gold medal but does anyone else feel like our pro fighters deserve more recognition like Carl Froch who has achieved far more than those 3?

Glyn Rhodes MBE ...just been on breakfast tv talking about his inclusion on the honours list for his work associated with boxing.
Nice to see individuals within the sport being recognised

The honour's system is heavily reliant on potential recipients being put forward in the established format. In other words, if you're not written-up for gongs by people who know how the system works, the chance of you getting one are slim to none. In the same way that the Civil Service and the military know exactly how to get their own people honoured, the British Olympic Association are fully versed on how the game's played and that once a medal has been won, getting an honour to go with it is a simple form filling exercise.

If pros want honorific recognition they must either know someone who understands the process and has the inclination to nominate said pro, or they must be a household name that is recognised by the Main Honours Committee. I'm unsure whether the BBBC puts people forward or not.

Come on, it was a home Olympics, things were always going to go over the top in the aftermath.

I think honours for boxers is all well and good but should happen once the career is done.

Fair play to them all though. Proud day for them and their families.
