Theophane is the NEW....

GBC Welterweight champion
1st round KO over a Tanzanaian chap who had all the credentials of a WBO title challenger!
If you call that 'champion'. Fair play to him for taking a payday over Christmas but I'd much prefer to see treasure getting involved in the British scene in some meaningful fights.

Ashley had won that belt once before (back in 2006) and he must have vacated straight after winning it again as the very same (vacant) title is down on the schedule to be contested in Brandenburg, Germany on Feb 2nd.

For the "Global Boxing Council" welterweight title. This is the second time he's won it. Strange.

It's admirable the miles he is prepared to put in to fight and train. He's a grafter.

Ahh... like those windfall fights against Ronnie Warrior Jnr (13-6-1) and Willie Thompson (6-1-1)? I doubt any of his title fights were huge wages, even before the drop outs.
I'd say his main income is sparring.

I don't understand the 'hate' that Theopane can generate sometimes; he does his best and keeps in good condition; best f luck to the man - he is in a tough division and anyone can get knocked off or prosper very quickly. He seems ok to me and what he earns he deserves.

I'd say more like $1500-$2000 $ Not £..... But by keeping busy he will keep his name up there in the mix.
