Chisora's rant on American radio.

Controversial British heavyweight Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora has stirred the pot once again by mocking a host of big names on both sides of the Atlantic.
Speaking to ATG radio in America, the former world title challenger shared his views on the US heavyweight scene. Chisora said American boxers “don’t want to fight”, preferring to pad their records against weak opponents. He also ridiculed recently beaten Seth Mitchell as “a joker who thinks he can fight”.
When asked about a bout with fellow Vitali Klitschko opponent Chris Arreola, Chisora suggested that his rival “eat a taco”. He also had words for Kevin Johnson, handily beaten by Tyson Fury earlier this month. He slammed the American’s lack of ambition, saying cash was his only motivation for coming to the UK.
Chisora believes that money grubbing promoters are stopping big fights from being made. He said a series of super fights between himself, David Price, David Haye and Tyson Fury is unlikely to happen. He blames promoters taking massive percentages of fight purses for making the tough match-ups unattractive to boxers.
Commenting on the much hyped feud between Tyson Fury and David Price, Chisora backed 29-year-old Price to beat his younger rival. He also ridiculed Fury’s poor quality of opposition. Chisora feels the Manchester prospect fears being exposed at the top level and losing his television contract with Channel 5.
Del Boy, who has been without a British license for most of 2012, expects to resolve his differences with the British board in the coming weeks. He plans to return to action in March against 28-year-old German Manuel Charr.

Chisora criticises Fury's lack of "quality opponents"
Classic line considering he was one of those opponents !!
Rest of it i agree with............
In general, the heavyweight division is a lost cause, just a crumblimg relic of what it used to be. No-one gives two shits who the heavyweight champion is these days.

I hope Chisora fights Sprott next and then someone like Kevin Johnson. Purely to get a bit of form back. If he can rattle those 2 wins off in the first 6 months of 2013 then he can call the bigger names out with some credibility. Despite one of the defeats being an attrocious decision he is still coming off a string of defeats.

I still think chisora beats anyone in the world except k2, haye and possibly price, I'd put every last penny on him to beat fury in a rematch !
And as for the Americans, chisora's assessment is spot on !

For your sake I hope there is no rematch.
I'm not sure to be honest. A ridiculoulsy fat and out of shape chisora had fury in trouble a few times during the fight, Fury didn't hurt Chisora once, he just outworked him. I'm not saying it wouldn't happen again, but Chisora has now faced the best heavies and aquitted himself well and will be able to draw on the experience of fighting big men. Fury wouldn't hurt Chisora and if the Chisora that fought Helenius and Vitali turned up, Fury would be in for a much, much tougher fight.

I've always been convinced that an in form chisora would beat Fury in a rematch.
Fury has started looking better recently aswell although I don't think he's all he's cracked up to be.

Chisora has improved more than Fury since they fought each other. He learnt a lot from Helenius, and carried it well into the klit fight.
In shape and in the right frame of mind he would be capable of beating Fury.
But I agree he should get a few fights in first to get his name up and set his level with the media. I think Manual Charr is a great start.

So would Fury just be telling the truth if he said Chisora should just go eat some yam? Or if someone said Khan should eat some curry?
The thread suggests that the interviewer (who said "When you spit water in Wladimir Klitschko's face it was classic") isn't the only one who brushes Chisoras ignorance aside.

Based on what? Losing to Vitali, Helenius (disputed as it is) and Fury.
FFS - do you really think the rest of the division is that poor. Chisora has a great chin, but poor workrate, and even worse technique, I've seen fast bowlers with straighter deliveries than Chisora's ape like action.

i agree with you, his chin has (had) earnt him a decent living. he is not a concusive puncher, bobs and weaves in a decent manner but that is all. a big overachiever.

Charr would be an excellent comeback fight for Chisora, one i believe he would win quite well. In all honesty i imagine he is all set to become the HW version of Glen Johnson Happy to take on anywhere and an excellent gatekeeper for the top level fighters. If he stays in shape and keeps out of trouble he will never fail to get fights that is for sure.

He is NOWHERE near as good as Johnson. Johnson is a very accomplished fighter, he is COMPETITIVE with everyone even at elite level. Terrible comparison.

I dont think it was a racial comment, Fat Cris is well known for eating tacos.

My highlight of 2012 involving Chisora still remains the moment he stepped on the scales to weigh in for the Haye fight and someone from the crowd shouted 'he glussed me!!!!!'

Yes because Glenn Johnson is currently a bonafide world class operator.
Perhaps i should have mde myself slightly clearer,
or perhaps you could simply nelect from being an arse in future.
Before recent defeats to Fonfara & Groves Johnson has been a gatekeeper for top level for quite some time, beat him and your mixing with the higher level guys.
Chisora proved to me in the Helenius fight he can play that role well.

To clarify, I don't think Chisora is racist, I think he's ignorant. I also can't stand the 'ah old Del boy, whats he like' reactions when he frequently displays his ignorance. Chisora spits, slaps women, bites ears and then acts like a smug git when fined, rages like he's the original Hampstead gangster without quite managing to convert his bs into wins when it counts. All the while Fury gets slated for calling Price a plumber.
In some cases, I get it. If Chisora was some kind of loveable rogue with a talent for a well-timed quip it would be a start, but all he does he mumble shite and behave like an animal. You might say that was the same with Mike Tyson, but he had something Chisora does not to back it up with.
