Apparently Showtime's show Shobox series is to air Michael Jennings-Brett James and Martin Power-James Yelland, last year they showed David Barnes-Jimmy Vincent and Bobby Vanzie-Graham Earl. Now with all due respect to the Boxer's but what is the chances of anyone except the diehard American Boxing audience of having heard of any of these boxers? Yet at the same time it is Showtime who quashed the prospective meeting between Junior Witter and Ricky Hatton because they still hold Witter's showing against Zab Judah four years ago against him still. I'm sorry but it all wreaks of pathetic excuses to me....will they be venturing down to the Dudley Leisure Centre next time out? Perhaps a Nigel Rafferty bout on "Classic Fights"? Showtime are a joke.

It's probably because they would of had to pay a lot of money for the Witter v Hatton fight, where as this show will be dirt cheap. If there gonna show British fighters though, they should put on some of are better fighters ie Williams, Mitchell, Khaliq, Harrison etc (obviously they already show Hatton and Calzaghe). Can't complain to much though, because at least Jay Larkin shows some interest in the Brits, where as HBO don't even give a s**t about there own fighters. They sign the guys who bring in the most money, and then dump them when they lose. The suits at HBO are a bunch of fat greedy c**ts.

Lol don't think i would have quite put it like that but in principle i agree with what your saying. No disrespect to the fighters featured but yeah why don't they show Magee, Williams, Moore, etc but like you say HBO don't give a crap about anything that happens outside America and often there commentators treat achievements like European title and British titles with contempt.
