The only way Anfield would be viable is if he fought Fury there. There is no way he'd get near to selling out a football stadium for any other fight (apart from a Klitschko which obviously wouldn't happen in England).

If they can get this at Anfield and fill the place then surely it makes financial sense for both men, not sure fighting either Klitschko is worth anywhere near the money they can get for fighting each other at a big footie stadium over.

They are both young enough that the loser will come again and get a world title fight probably even against the winner of this, if they go on to win a version of a title.

Vitali has one more fight top whack either Haye or no one so thats a year left for him and Wlad will be out the game in 2 years probably at most, why negotiate with him and end up
with options, let the two lads fight and by that time things will be a lot clearer, if we are not careful it will end up like so many good looking British fights of recent years and one of them will get
beat and all of a sudden half the people who were crying out for it, don't want to see it.

Fully agree and I'm sure Price has exactly the same mindset. Unfortunately Fury is the one who is preventing this from happening. Despite what anyone says, I'm sure the reason Fury (and certainly Hennessy) doesn't want this fight is that he knows there is a high probability he'll be stopped.

Klit gave a shot to the loser of Fury vs Chisora. So why would either of them be bothered about a loss? It seems to make them more likely to get the fight.

True also. If anything, if Price smashed Fury out in a couple of rounds I'd have thought Wlad certainly wouldn't want any part of him until he became a mandatory.

Besides, I fully expect this fight not to happen. This is boxing.

Lets hope it happens, it's prob my fave all British fight yet to happen, along with Quigg-Frampton.

That's what I was thinking. There was an article on here recently saying his business was skint. He goes on tele after Price beat Audley saying there was £500k on the table, then Price beats Skelton and there's £650k on the table, now there's £1m on the table. Obviously a stadium fight will generate big money, but Maloney just seems to be making up numbers as he goes along.

If and that's a big if, that Maloney can raise £1m to pay Fury, he should take it. If Fury fights Wlad he'll get around £500k and will probably be ko'd. If he fights Price it's a much more even fight, one he has a very reasonable chance of winning.

One thing with Fury's TV contract. People keep saying if he loses the channel 5 contract is finished. What happens if he gets ko'd by Wlad, what happens then?

I think it'd be a fight that would be perfect for an arena the size of the MEN or even better for me the O2. It'd be too big for the Echo but probably not big enough for a stadium.

Not gona happen I don't think. I think Fury's team are chasing WBC title now, they can make great cash by Fury being in a world title fight and if he wins it then he can cash-in big style, without needing to take a very risky domestic fight with nothing really on the title other than British bragging rights.

Decent little interview with Price yesterday. He makes a very good point about the Fury fight needing to be made soon or they risk missing the boat. A defeat for either of them prior to it, unless a glorious one in a Klitschko fight, would hugely diminish the value of the fight and the fans appetite for it.

I can't see this fight filling Anfield either. Price is a draw but not enough to fill a stadium with 40-42 thousand people.

This could EASILY fill Anfield. Huge, huge bout this if it comes off this summer. if Haye v Maccarinelli can fill out the O2 then this little douzie can deffo get 35000+ in a stadium in mid-summer.

Easily ? - You are aware that Fury fights in front of small crowds and in locations all over the place. Is Price that popular to fill to get the bulk of the crowd. He is not yet.

As discussed in a previous thread here. The MEN would be the best option for this fight. You could fill the MEN but anything bigger would be a struggle.

Any chance Little Frank has come out with all this to promote Price-Thompson, tickets on sale now... And yes, it could sell out Anfield, as has been said before, the boxers seperatley might not but together they will.

You will never get 40K crowd to see Price v Fury. They are not big enough and there is no public interest in terms of Haye v Chisora. You would fill the MEN with a good card but no chance of 40K. I bet you can walk down any high street with a picture of Price and Fury and ask the general public who they are and I bet more than 50% wouldn't have a clue. Show a picture of Anthony ogoo and more will know that kid, but possibly not his name but lots would say he fought in the Olympics, and that's the general public.

Fury is right on top of a world title shot and he won't risk that. Especially as the WBC belt is very much up for grabs. Fury, involved in a world title fight, will sell it very well too.

I think both will lose before they face each other. Still, for me that don't make it a less appealing fight. I just want to see them have it.

You walk dowm liverpool with a picture of price and theyll tell you who he is, and the scousers dont half get behind their man. Also, if you think haye chisora caught the publics attention imagine what fury and price would do with their pressers! If mitchell katsidis can do a stadium, fury price can. In my opinion.
