My apologies if this has already been posted, but just saw this on the BBC website..

1233:
BOXING
Thomas Stalker has become the second British Olympic boxer from London 2012, after Anthony Ogogo, to turn professional.

The 28-year-old Liverpudlian, who was controversially beaten in the quarter-finals of the Games, signs with Matchroom.

"It is disappointing for us that Tom has decided his future lies away from the GB Boxing squad but he departs with our best regards and we wish him every success in his future career," said GB Boxing performance director Robert McCracken.

Anybody know who Ogogo's been signed up by?

Eddie said that he had a big announcement lined up today & I was wondering who it would be. He should be a welcome addition to the pro ranks.

His name conjours up an image of a middle-aged man in a mack, cruising the red light district of some old, dingy mill town at 2am looking for a victim to strangle.

Tom's a great lad and well-received amongst his peers. Hope he does well for himself. Needs to be active at his age.

Top guy. Met him at the final day of the olympic boxing and he was more than happy to stop and chat and have a photo taken with us etc.

Can't see him pulling up trees in his pro career but hope he does well and at least gets to domestic honours in the next couple or three years.
