Kris Fighting in France on Sat against Michael Soro
anyone saw him fight , seems to have good record with alot off knockouts

Its for some sort of WBO belt aint it?

Not saw a lot of Soro, hoping a Big win for Carslaw to regain a bit of confidence. Best of luck to him.

I saw Soro challenge Zaurbek Baysangurov for the WBO Light Middleweight title last year hes a tough cookie

He sure is. Soro is a high pressure, come forward type of fighter that leaves himself wide open at times. I think Carslaw will be in for a tough night.

no its not unfortuantly ,over here might be coverd locally in France... good luck to Kris, a tought fight for him so lets hope he can come back iwht the win

Soro seemed like a cracking fighter so I'll be the odd one out and go for the Frenchman

Fair play to Carslaw for taking a fight like this.
To be honest I haven't heard of the guy but sounds like he has put himself in the deep end.

Kris Carslaw a true gentleman and a boxer who lives the life really hope he gets the upset over there !!
Very hard ask though and looks like another gilmour fighter that has been hand fed 14 or so bums then flung straight into title mix and after losing all fights against fighters with winning records is now being fed to the lions !

It's the venue where McDonnell won the European belt as the underdog so good omens. Should be a cracker.

Not official but from what I seen on Twitter, Carslaw lost a UD:

Kris boxed very well tonight. There was nothing between any of the rounds although we got the expected ridiculous scoring. No complaints about losing, but very tight fight. And also, Kris not thrown to the lions. He's more than capable at championship level. Yes, came up short but not disgraced and plenty positives to take and try to improve for the next time. Kris will be back challenging this year for domestic honours, I've no doubt he will and we can find that bit extra to take him forward.

Good to see people going and taking risks instead of trying to pad out a record. He will benefit from it in the end.

my above comments are no way a slight on Carslaws ability or dedication as a boxer,what i am trying to say is that taking prizefighter out of the equation kris has either fought title level boxers or so called journey men, 14 or so fights to manavoure him into title /elmimnator contention then in at the deep end fighting guys like hall and rose and after doing well but comimg up short in both fights he now travels as an opponent to a place where probably he would of had to get a ko to win. there deosnt seem to be any middle ground going from guys like keiren grey and kevin mcauley to guys like hall and rose is one hell of a jump in class . i would have liked to have seen kris fight another so called prospect or somone with a similar record before jumpimg sraight in to fight guys like rose and hall. not sure how well i have made my point but i for one would love to see kris win a decent tilte both for him and saltire boxing(ft)
i just hope he isnt now turned into an "opponent".

A fk it, am sure he got rt good wages for this. Intact prob even better money that he did for his title challenges.

I think Kris will learn more from the loses than he would from fighting Journeymen.. Everytime I see him he is improving.. I think he was good against Rose and if rematch was to happen I reckon he may well win now... Keep up the good Work Colin lots of 50/50 fights I'm sure Kris will become British Champion soon

what next for Karslaw? Well he could go in with a few scottish guys ,domestically there is Craig McEwan, Gary McCallum at middleweight that could be good ,plus brophy aswell . at Light Middle there is Craig Windsor Jnr ,John Thain which all could be a good bout for the Scottish

Couldn't agree more McAllum thain or Windsor would be good fights all Scottish affairs and if kris came through then he would deserve a final eliminator or title shot , much rather see that than fight a journey man then back into the mix.
Think he would best all of the above bar mckewan

i didnt mention McAllum as i dont think he would be ready for that figth ,that is just my opinion of course ...

I still think Carslaw could benefit from dropping a weight division. He looks to me like he could cut down to being at least a welter. Obviously his team will know better than me but its only an opinion.
