Not the best opponent on Saturday and not the best performance but I think we could all agree this kid is a class act. From the midlands area by me which also helps keep a keen eye on him.
I think you cant hold back a kid with the quality as he is a prospect but a prospect who could compete now even with just 7 fights with an excellent amateur pedigree who would you like to see him in with next.
Jason Booth - I would not like to see this fight happening but an ex world title challenger. Former British and commonwealth champion in mutiple weights. This would be a good learning curve and a step up in class as the experience is something that Yafai could use against a wiley fighter like Booth. I would hate to see Booth go down and get destroyed against Yafai though.
Josh Wale - Very durable and tough lad which would be a good fight for Yafai.
Craig Lyons - Experienced durable fighter which would be a learning curve.

I wasn't overly impressed the other night but the better the opponent the better he will perform. Wud like to see him in with wale or hall next who will test him.

The Wale fight is definately the one to make, Josh is a gatekeeper to top domestic class, Wale is durable and tough and busy enough to ask Yafai some questions that have not been answered before.

i would like to see martin ward put a halt to the hype for a bit
it would actually be a decent fight, and would give kal the opportunity of a first title.

Obviously its going to be a tough fight for Yafai and for Ward but Hearn can't hold Yafai back for long thats the fact of the matter. Yafai has looked impressive against people who want to survive he has looked very impressive. Okay they are 'journeymen'. a word i don't like to use as they earn respect for making things as difficult as possible for the future stars in the sport they are not the best in the world. But if a fighter is coming at you there is more opportunties and they are more open. Good fights in 2013 already looking a good year

If he hated it that much he'd have not turned pro; Yafai will do really well, I've no doubt.

ooo i dunno, i get the impression people like Froch actually a good old smack in the mouth sometimes, thrives on it almost (ala kessler fight)....but back on Yafai, i'm not geting carried away, he looks good so far and good luck to him, needs a few decent fights before i start getting excited. Nice to see a hungry young fighter coming through though for sure

What i'v seen of him so far is looks Very Good, he can only beat who's been put in front of him which aint been the best of opponents but at this stage of his carrier thats who he should be fighting and he has handled them with ease 8)

If josh wale comes through against terry broadbent on march 29th with no problems then I'm hoping I can get him yafai for the English title on the undercard of froch v Kessler. Be a very interesting crossroads fight and if josh can perform the way i no he can he will cause a big upset
