Leonard Dorin Looking Good..

Just watched Dorin make his debut at lightwelter with an impressive 4th round stopage over the durable Chucky T from Philladelphia.

The tough American certainly came to win and probably edged the first round with some good shots to head and body. But Dorin upped the pressure in the next two rounds, trading with Chucky and getting the better of some fierce exchanges. The American was throwing a fast left hook that looked a dangerous punch, but Dorin blocked most of them on his high guard.

In the 4th he landed some full blooded lefts and rights, before landing a huge right hand that sent Chucky staggering to the ropes.
The referee was about to give a standing eight count, but waved it over as T let go of the rope he was holding and lurched across the ring.
Dorin looks a bit thick set around the middle, but he seems to be punching harder than he was at 135.
Watch out Ricky Hatton.

Speaking of debuts at Lightwelter - Floyd Mayweather is fighting Demarcus Corely in May.

On Romanian TV, Hotbird satellite.

Weird show - it was like a daytime TV show with a studio audiance, including Doran's dad, clapping along to various singers before they showed the fight from Montreal.

The number one singer in Romania appears to be some bloke who's around 80 years old, and his other half, a girl who looks about 15 years old. Their backing band was a bunch of blokes dresssed up as school boys :o Bizzare....

Trippy!!

I like Dorin though, cracking fighter, really entertaining. I though he beat Spadafora too.
