I'm quite new to boxing and this was a name I didn't recognise.

I see his name is quite high on the British Heavyweight ranking list here at Boxrec but most of his recent fights have been in Germany.

I see from his record he beat Michael Sprott a few years back and that he has a fight against Jameel McCline lined up next month.

Could anyone tell me why he doesn't fight on the British scene and whether he would have a chance domestically?

Also, where is Pele Reid these days? Has he retired?

Good puncher but china chinned. He faught Sprott when he was going through a crisis in confidence. I have no doubt Sprott would beat him now. Possibly worthy of being mentioned with the likes of Long, Francis and the rest of the domestic contendors - but I think its unlikely he will win a British title.

Last time i saw Reid he was fighting on the K1 circus...oops! Circuit Getting beaten up by a whole different set of fighters, he was decent but had a glass jaw. As for Llewellyn i know nothing about him apart from that he is welsh, or if he isn't then he should be a with a name like that 8)

Why does everyone think Wayne is Welsh he was born in England and (I think) has probably lived here all his life. Llewelyn is a Welsh name tho.

maaaan wayne llewelyn, theres a name i havent heard in a long time.

after he got whacked out in 1 rd by pele reid back in 1998 his 'prospect' tag lost its sheen and he did one to america.

since then hes been a channel hopper and really did nothing. he waxed an ancient and totally shot derek williams, but other than that hes been a failure and the last memory i have of him is him getting badly chinned by morbidly obese journeyman frankie swindell (an aged light heavy).

the guy has a little bit of skill but no chin. i didnt know he was fighting macline, but if he does look for wayne to get knocked out inside 2 rds, 3 rds max.
