If Jurgen beats him tonight, he's going straight after Clev apparently.
Now he's parted with Universum , he's wanting to get back his old belt.

Be interesting to see what Braehmer has left,i always fancied him to beat Cleverly when they were due to meet.

Shocking reffing in the Woge fight, Zoulikha was knocked down and somehow got up, he was completly gone, The Ref waved Woge back in even though Zoulikha was clearly finished. Zoulikha turned his back gone and the ref then checked on him again and waved Woge back in. Luckily Zoulikha took to his knee.
The lad could of been seriously injured

Good finish by Woge but he was beginning to struggle a bit.
Neumann should probably have finished it a soon as Zoulihka staggered to his feet.

For me there was no probably about it, even more so when the lad was turning away not knowing where he was after the first time Woge was waved back in.

Dustin Dirks 27 wins now, time he's moved up

Never been impressed with Dustin Dirks...and I'm still not.
The American was poor, although you can only beat what's put in front of you, but I can't see Dirks beating anyone of a higher level.

Watching Bunce and Lillis is like watching Zippy and George from Rainbow.

Braehmer was making a bit of a fool of himself late on there.

If Cleverly beats Krasniqi can he make a voluntary defence before fighting Braehmer?

The writer who covered the fight for BS had Gutknecht winning 9 rounds, and claims that many others thought that Gutknecht should've won.
To those who watched the bout, do you think the decision fair or unfair, and if it was fair could you still make a solid case for Gutknecht winning?

I thought Braehmer just done enough to win but Gutnecht put up a very good performance. I'd never watched Braehmer fight before was surprised how well he can box. Both are very tough Gutnecht esp showed a great chin. If it went either way I couldn't have complained well I could have as I had money on Braehmer

I didn't have it as wide as Barry Jones did for Braehmer, but I think he definitly won. How the guy on BS gave Gutknecht 9 rounds is beyond me. If Cleverly has to fight Brahemer, on last night's performance I might be tempted to go with Braehmer. Cleverly's defence is below average and Braehmer is heavy handed. If the WBO mandate the fight it will be interesting to see whether Braehmer pulls out with injuries again

He used to be even better. Wasted talent.

No way Gut won that fight. He was game enough but whilst landing a few stiff right hands, he really didn't have much punch power to dominate and fell short with a lot of stuff.
Brahmer looks a bit ragged, perhaps he is still rusty - but he was a class above when it mattered.
Agreed with the final round though, Jurgen looked tired and was very unsporting with his moaning and kidology.
2-3 years ago he would have beaten Clev, now, I think the welshman is too durable and fit for him to deal with. He will land the harder, more eye catching punches, but will be outworked over 12 rounds i feel now.

If Braehmer had fought Clev on the O2 bill when he was meant to, I'd have backed him. Still reckon he could put up a show v Nathan but he was toiling for pace at the end last night and just held on to win a fight he had been walking in the first half, IMO

Darn, Cleverly would've probably had a big unification fight otherwise.

He was going to be fighting Hopkins terms, location and t.v had all been agreed but Hopkins would only fight Cleverly if he had his world title which he would have to vacate to fight Hopkins because off the back to back mandatory defences, I think some off the criticism is a bit over the top and a lot of it has nothing to do with Cleverly and more to do with his promoter

Last year was very bad for Cleverly though.
I like him, but when he fights the likes of Karpency and Hawk he deserves criticism.

Yeah last year was unacceptable but he has been unlucky he has been scheduled to fight Brahemer who pulled out, he travelled to a hostile Liverpool and won a tight decision against Bellew (I thought Bellew won by a point) and he had agreed to fight Hopkins, I don't think Krasniqi and Brahmer are bad fights and hopefully he can land a bigger name towards the end of the year

Yeah, hopefully.
Even if he doesn't, at least this year is unlikely to be as bad as last year.
