Not one of the most well known fighters I know but wondered what happened to him.

Former European super middleweight champ who iced James Cooke in one round and the only fighter to stop the durable Ray Close. Nicotra went 30-0 before dropping a decision to Antoine Byrd, then drew a fight before going out on a win. Any ideas why he jacked it in aged 30?
