A big puncher against a guy who could really take it and who could grind you down late. Thoughts?

If it's prime vs prime, Pintor via KO, around round 8-10, would be my guess. Zamora could hurt anybody early, but the only time I remember Pintor really looking like absolute crap and getting run over was against Payakaroon, and he was overweight and a very old 30 by the time that fight took place. The Pintor of about 1979-1985 would have weathered the Zamora storm and KO'd him, IMO. If the fight were held when Zamora was champion, which was before Pintor was in his prime, I still might pick Pintor because he was pretty good at taking stick and coming back late in fights.

Pintor was too well schooled a fighter to lose to Zamora. Sure early on there might be a few tough moments for Lupe since Zamora could belt with the best. But Alfonso wasn't the all-around fighter that Pintor was and definately no defensive genius. Lupe begins to take over the fight by the fifth round and breaks down a fading Zamora for a 9th round k.o. When hurt, like he was against Zarate, I'm not sure Zamora had the heart neccesary to dig in and survive an oncoming Pintor.

If Pintor could survive those first 3-4 rounds the scales would be tipping in his favor. But it is a very big 'if'. Pintor was such a slow starter and Zamora was like a racehorse out of the gate that I wouldn't be betting the house on either scenario.
