Richard Turba, last fought in 2011 losing a narrow decision but his 2 previous fight were stoppage wins against Leon Williams and Jon Lewis Dickinson.
He seemed to have a decent chance of getting somewhere in the pro game, but not been seen for a while

He beat local (welsh) lad mike allen. Mike was a good amateur and many thought hed do alright in the pros. He ran into turba in his first or second fight. And that was that.

had a long time out before and came back might do the same again.

Spoke to someone a few weeks back who was his coach/manager. Unfortunately he just couldn't get fights. (Punched too hard!!)
He isn't a big enough ticket seller for a promoter to back him, and is too big a puncher to be taken as an "opponent."

Best hope for him would be to be given 3 months notice and get a slot on Prizefighter. He's the type who could be explosive in that sort of format. (He might struggle to get a slot on that though too as Matchroom tend to get kids who can either sell 100 tickets or have held a British title at some point)

He should bang the drum for the Jon Lewis Dickinson rematch,im sure Dickinson would love the chance to avenge that defeat and lets face it theres sod all else going on in the Cruiserweight division

He trained and I also think managed by a great guy called Sam Betts who helped me out when i 1st got my trainers licence who was based Blackpool and Jonny Roye's in Preston
