Was sitting watching last night and just began wondering about Khan/Broner if and when Broner moves up to 140.

Its a huge fight to take as your first fight at a weight but I don't think Adrien would be phased by it personally, he would feel at some stage he connects cleanly and he would
probably feel that would be enough.

I am not sure he genuinely feels he will get Burns in the ring and with him generating such huge sums surely they wont want to hang about for a protracted negotiation of how much and where which
they will surely get.

Amir always wants the big fights they wont come much bigger than this.

I would really love to to see this one, not many fights actually set the pulses racing these days but I would think this one would.

I think Broner would destroy khan fairly easily to be honest

I think if Rees can land on Broner like that Khan will certainly fancy his chances, plus the fact that broner is a BIG puncher he would also fancy his chances against khan. Would be a very good fight and likely to generate mega bucks, weather khan will stick about at jr welter or broner would want to fight burns then a tester at light welter 1st is another story.

I don't understand why Khan is talking about moving up to welter. For as long as he can make 140lb comfortably that's where he should stay. Up at 147lbs he'll have all the same frailties with fewer physical advantages. I would love to see Khan Broner at 140lbs.

I think Broner will take him. I re watched the Danny Garcia fight a couple of times and he had Khan sussed all the way through picked his shots well Broner will probably hit harder at 140 and he is a lot less wild than Garcia and much more accurate I'd fancy him to beat Khan pretty convincingly.


Be a good fight though but with the WBC ranking recently published it suggests Khan is moving up to 147.

I like the look of Broner but let's not go mental. With all due respect, he beat Gavin Rees last night, not a Matthyse or Rios. Khan has faced (and beaten) a far higher class of opponent than he has.

Who's to say the Broner's power will carry up to 140? And how do we know what his chin's like? Khan's been out of form, but his speed & power haven't just disappeared. If he had been landing some of the punches that Rees did last night, who knows what might have happened.

There are still too many unanswered questions about Broner for people to confidently say that he'd beat Khan "comfortably" or "easily".

Agree, if I was a betting man and the fight happened late this year I would put a little wage on khan who would probably be the underdog !

He did just beat an unbeaten prospect you know

Khan would landslide Broner on points, but i do think Broners in a group of around 4 or 5 fighters at the 140 range of weight that could have the stopping of khan.

Unheralded Molina stuck it out for 10 rounds, yet a proven operator in Rees was taken apart and dropped a couple of times until they chucked the towel in.

I think if they wanted to make the fight, belts and weight would not matter

thats a power issue though really, khan was hardly touched whereas broner was being hit a hell of alot.

Khan ate quite a few left hooks against Molina.

khan v rios would be a great fight

Broner would destroy Khan within 4 rounds - Too clever and hits too hard for Khan

Power and accuracy beats Khan's speed all day

anyone else think Broner - Kotelnik would be an interesting barometer of Broner's potential at 140?

I think if Khan moves up and takes the Malignaggi route, he's less likely to be KOd

{sarcasm aside, I would like to see if Broner can break down a (presumably faded) Kotelnik. That would be an excellent test of his abilities, though seeing as Kotelnik's about the same size I can't really see it happening until Broner weighs the same as Sergio Martinez}

Broner has a hell of a lot to prove yet he has fought little to know one, at present i see him loosing to the likes of Garcia, Khan at 140.

Rees is a proven operator in the UK and Europe, if Rees had fought those guys in the states with no TV in the UK he would be classed as "unheralded".

joking aside , Fighting ricky Burns will tell us alot about how good Broner is , assuming burns comes through hsi big test next

Broner vs Khan after that would be Big fight , Khan has potential to beat pretty much anyone (if he keeps his chin out the way ) ,
